The Manor (RP Thread)

Genevieve took her bags out of her trunk and closed it. "Are we going to head inside or stand around here and chat?" She smiled as she said it and wagged her tail to show she's joking. "I have a couple of packages, but they're just more clothes. Nothing big to worry about." She told Sebastian as she walked towards the house.

"Welcome, Miss Bryans. Yes, I'm Sebastian Wraith. How much do you have with you? Will you have anything else coming in via mail? As for the rest of you, I ask the same question. Any other stuff coming in through any mail systems?" He

She smiled.

"Oh no this should be it. Thank you for having us all here in your home," she said moving in and giving him a good sniff, it was't that she thought he smelled funny but there was something that she couldn't quite put her finger on.

Her nose moved in close to his neck as she sniffed, her whiskers and fur must have brushed against his face because she had felt it. She moved to sniff his collar bone and finally back to the other side. His ear held her interest before she finally was satisfied....

She touched his shoulders before kissing his cheek.

"You are so tense Sebastian..." She said warmly. "And I'm fairly certain you have a knot or two..." Murphy said with a sigh. "You must let me work on them for you. I'm a massage therapist and you would definitly be in a lot less pain," she offered with a smile.

She let out a soft growl as she saw the house pulling up at the side of the car. Her form sank down into the seat a bit more, her arms still crossed and her eyes still staring straight ahead. Her ears were flat agianst her scalp, her long black hair falling across her visage. "I'm not making any promises..." She said softly, her fingernails tapping at the skin of her arm. "I'll be nice if they are..." She smiled a bit to Trey, her nervousness still showing.

Once she stepped out of the car though, it was going to be a different story.

Her figure slinked from her door, standing at full hight which was about 5'3". Her ears stood perked up once more, a mildly calm expression about her. She sighed softly, her fingers moving to smooth out her black corset and fixing the crimson red ribbon that bound the two sides together. She looked around as she leaned over, grabbing her bag, apparently there were already people that had arrived, or so it looked that way by the few cars that lined the drive way. She sighed softly as she looked up. There was a man talking to another in their car, who she did not know, but apparently, that was the man her brother was talking about.

Her ear twitched lightly in the breeze, her hair licking at what skin she had expoesd. She smiled over to Trey who was just rising from the car, the sound of the engine cutting off abruptly. "Your bag is in the back" She said, shouldering her last bag. It wasn't too much, considering she only had two. She let her fingers run through her hair before shutting the car door, smoothing down her corset once more, fixing the hem that lined her breasts. So far, this place didn't look so bad.

Sebastian had been about to answer Geneveive when Murphy answered the question too, and suddenly stepped close to him. He blinked for a moment, looking at her, then his eyes widened in confusion and slight embarassment as she started sniffing around his head. She continued this for several moments, then kissed his cheek and stepped back. Then she asked him to let her give him a massage. The only words that came out of his mouth at that moment were "HuhbuhguhWHA?" He stood there for a few moments, trying to figure out what to say, then shrugged, and spoke. "Moving right along. Now that most of us are together...." He spoke loud enough to carry to the two by the car.

"The only rooms that are offlimits are the one I've chosen to reside in, in the basement, the ones with two cable lines, and the third room on the right on the first floor. One of our residents actually moved in about ten months ago, and that's his room. There are phone lines in most of the rooms, with cable phone in a few of them. Anyone else who wants a line for cable phones in their room will have to pay for it out of their own pocket." He paused, letting them take that in, then continued.

"There is a pool on the opposite side of the house as the conservatory. The pool is in an addition to the old building, and is climate controlled. Downstairs is a computer lab, for anyone interested in LAN parties or basic internet activities. You will all be expected to pay a share of the utilities, as well as part of the grocery bills. Anything else you want comes out of your own pocket as well. There is a library, though a rather small one, full of books. Some of them I've put in it, others were donated. Um, let's see, anything I'm missing...oh yeah, the living room has a projection system set up to display along one wall. It's intended for a movie night. There's also a game room, set up with a widescreen tv and several video game systems, for those interested. Those two were actually my idea, since a couple of you are in college." He considered for a moment, thinking of anything else, then nodded,

"I have put a piece of paper on the refrigerator front. I would like for you all to write down any food allergies you have. That way, when we go grocery shopping, we'll know what not to get. The same goes for any medical allergies, there's a sheet of paper for that in the bathroom off the conservatory. It might also be a good idea to write down any medical conditions you might have. And lastly, chores will be shared. I will probably do much of the cooking, but since one of you is a chef in her own right, that will lighten my load considerably. Now then. Any questions?"

----

Trey raised an eyebrow, then slowly climbed out of the car after Riza did. He closed the car doors, and went to get his bag. As he did so, he heard her tell him where it was, as if he didn't know, and more importantly, he heard the human making some announcements. He stopped, and listened carefully, then nodded slowly, before walking past Riza and up to where the group was.

Genevieve smiled lightly and sniffed the air. She suppressed the instinct to bark like mad as she caught the scents of cats in the air. Her tail wagged as she gave everyone a friendly smile and raised her hand. "I'm guilty of being the chef in question. Please feel free to leave a list for me of foods you do and don't like."

She was listening and kind of not...

She looked at the woman who was there and smiled. Murphy felt out of it and was trying to think about other things but there was something in the back of her head that was making her lose track of what they were talking about. Once they were done she went to a room that she wanted and began unpacking her things.... but she was feeling a little off so she went back down the stairs. There was a beautiful window overlooking the small city and she could see the school she had gone to and... she could remember the times she had spent there....

Her mind drifted to a boy that she had gone to school with, in truth it hadn't been that long ago, ages ago. Her eyes fell shut for a moment as she remembered the conversations, always shy and pleasant.

She sighed softly before looking to the school again.

"Murray..." She said more to herself than out loud as she remembered him. A tiny smile came to her face as she thought about his strong body pressed against hers. It hadn't been much of anything, exploring their bodies and kissing. She had never slept with him....

She could feel those strong hands on her arms again, the heavy body being ever so gentle to her smaller frame. She could taste those kisses and she craved them, wanting to go further and further with him... She giggled softly to herself at how childish she was to be thinking of hot and heavy petting sessions with Murray. He was probably happily married anyway...

She sighed and shut her eyes again drifting back to her fantasy.

Hmm interesting, seemed that there was a very well run house. Going back to my car, I grabbed my suitcase, and trolly bag. I went to one of the unreserved room, it was simple but pretty much comfortable, my room was never for work.
Putting my bags in the room, I decided to go exploring, I wanted to check out the games room, for the kid in me. I grinned and walked downstairs, and walked into the kitchen, so far I had no food allergies, or any other medical allergies, so i didnt have to fill the forms, foodwise I could eat almost anything, since I had lived alone for alot of the time. Normally I had barely the time to cook, so my cooking was average, but I could do other chores. Maybe I could ask Sebastian later if there was anything he would like fixed, I was a pretty good handy girl. Grabbing a bottle of water from the kitchen, I went to the games room, which was pretty impressive,a nd then went to check out the pool. That was one past time I enjoyed alot.

Genevieve took her things and headed for the room she wanted (second floor, second door on the left). She quickly began to unpack and put her things away. She hung the kimonos and cheongsams carefully. The packages arriving contained two hanfu, matching shoes and two pair of geta sandals, a pair of zori sandals, and several pair of tabi socks.

Now what was she going to make for dinner tonight and should she make dessert as well? She pondered these questions as she put her few books up on the book shelf. She put her underwear as well as the few Western shorts and T-shirts she owned up in the drawer. Noticing that the window in her room had a little ledge for sitting on the inside, she took advantage of this and her unpacking being finished to take a break and look outside.

Riza sighed softly, waiting for Trey to unpack his things from the back of the car. She listened intently to what the human man had to say, though her expression remained uninterrested. She leaned against the door of the car, her arms crossing under her chest, and her head hitting metal as she listened, the man didn't sound amazingly interresting but what he was saying was important enough.

As Trey stood back up, she looked over to him, standing fully once more from leaning against the car door, her arms still crossed. Her movments sent her hair casscading over her shoulders once more, her ears perking up again. "Ready?" She cooed, taking a few steps towards the door, though waiting for Trey to catch up.

As he came up to her side, she started her pace once again, the slender heels of her shoes clicking softly with her steps. "Oh yeah..." She said sarcastically. "That man is a charmer isn't he?" She said as she looked over to Trey, her eyes narrowed a bit. Though as she looked back to him, she realized he was walking towards the rest of the group.

A soft sigh passed her lips as she trotted up the stairs to the manor, her head hanging lightly, her fingers entwined with the strap of her bag. Her eyes watched the white marble stairs intently as she jogged her way to the entrence. It wasn't that she was annoyed or angry, she just didn't feel like dealing with a croud right now. Getting here was enough for now.

She decided that the library was a good place to start, after claiming her own room. Her chest heaved in a deep breath as she looked up to the doors, a few yards away. Her tail twitched lightly behind her as she moved, her thoughts clouding her mind for the time being.

She looked around the entrence as she came in from the double doors, her eyes wide. She didn't think that this place was going to be this big, much less, she didn't think they would have fixed it up like this for them.

Trey listened, then followed the others into the house. He decided to give his twin some space. He wanted to explore anyways, so the first thing he did was carry his bags to a room. He found, inside it, a pair of beds. He figured it would be perfect for them, so he took his bags in and dropped them on one bed. Then he went out into the house, and went through most of the first floor. Finally, he found himself downstairs, in the basement. He walked to a door, and opened it, to find a slightly cold room filled with row upon row of computers. He simply stared. He'd never seen anything like it, and was awestruck.

----

Sebastian showed them inside, and let them have free run of the place. He, however, went to the kitchen. He sighed, and slumped into a chair at the kitchen table. He closed his eyes, and thought. "This is not going to be easy, I can tell already. Ginger, what were you thinking? I'm not cut out for this. I'm xenophobic, I've had my heart crushed more times than an Aztec sacrifice, and I'm simply not cut out to be a driving force for change. And being surrounded by all these girls won't help much. Well, at least the wolf won't be too much trouble. They mate for life, after all, so it's likely she'll choose the male one." Yes, he was talking to himself, but he doubted anyone had followed him into the kitchen. Chances are, none of the others knew who Ginger was, but they'd probably meet her eventually.

As I reached the pool, I smiled in sheer happiness, this was one of the things I loved to do, I slipped off a shoe and dipped a foot in the water, it was nice and cool. Maybe later I could come by for a swim. Grinning at the thought, I went back inside.

Riza smiled a bit as she turned the corner of one of the long corridors that she had been walking along. She had figured that she had gotten lost, though after a while more of walking, she found herself right outside the library. She nodded lightly, mumbling softly under her breath as she opened one side of the double doors, shutting it softly behind her back as she walked in. With a soft sigh, she looked around from where she was standing. The library was a large room that seemed to branch off into a few others, of which she figured held different genras of books.

With another soft sigh, she walked in, setting her two bags down on one of the chairs that sat in the center of the room, marking out a cozy little place to read. In truth, the library was a dark place. The shelves and tables were made of a dark wood, and the paint along the walls, carpet and fabric of the chairs varied from dark purples, black's, and the same color of red that laced her corset.

Her arms uncrossed lightly hanging at her sides. She was content to be here, and happy that no one else was really here. She wondered if maybe she should have stuck around to listen to the rest of the meeting. It also crossed her mind, that maybe Trey was right, maybe she shouldn't seclude herself like she had been so far.

As her eyes skimmed along the rows of books she let her mind wander, her fingertips tracing lightly over the spines of the books. It was quiet here, as she weaved herself in and out of the rows of shelves, not even the sounds of her footsteps could be heard against the carpet clad floor.

A few times she had stopped, interrested in an author that she came across, or if one of the titles of the books happen to catch her eye and pique her intrest. "I wonder if they have that..." She said aloud to herself in that same purr like voice. Her lips bowed in a smile as she walked along another row, her eyes searching for the authors name. Finally, she came to H, stopping and looking intently. She picked up one of the books, her smile widening a bit. "Didn't think they would..." She said softly, her fingers paging through the book that lay in the palm of her hand, H.P Lovecraft scribed in the cover of the black book in gold letters.

She stood there, quite content to page and skim through what she had in hand at the moment, her attention caught from all else for the time being.

Teena smiled as she drive up along the almost obsurdly long driveway to the manor, her long brown hair licking at the air behind her. She had the roof down on her light blue mustang convertible. It was an older one, but she was a sucker for a mustang. Her right hand rested on the top of the steering wheel as she sped down the driveway, anxious to get to the manor. She knew she was late, and though she figured her first impression wouldn't be the best out of them all, she decided that it was better then not comming at all. After all, she could just use the excuse that she had hit heavy traffic along the way.

She looked off to her left as she slowed a bit, the driveway breaking off to a parking-lot like piece of asphalt that lined the entrence stairs to the manor. It was bigger then she had expected. Her wide, innocent eyes stared up to the looming building, blinking a few times in disbelief. She wondered how many other people were going to be there with her.

Once she was parked and she had collected her suitcases and her bag, she started up the stairs. The warm breeze that licked at her fur made her shiver gently, a smile still bowing her lips in a content smile. All in all, she was happy to be here.

Since no one really lingered around the outside entrence, she figured she would let herself in, not really bothering with mannors or the fear of her first impression on the others. She trotted up the stairs, which seemed about as long as the driveway to her. With a heave of her chest in a deep breath, she came to the top of the stairs, her foot moving to push open one of the doors.

She walked in, the cool air meshing with the warm air she had just been in, her back giving another slow shiver. Her dark eyes surveyed the room around her, her head tilting lightly off to the side, one of her ears drooped lightly. "Huh...." She said in her usual chipper tone. "Wonder where everyone is..."

Teena shrugged a bit, walking a few more yards in. She saw a staircase that led to the upstairs to her right, and to her left, a lobby like room, leading off to the parlor. She sighed softly, walking into the lobby like room and setting her things down next to the couch. She figured she would stay there until she ran into someone, not really wanting to overtread her boundries so early. Her form sank into the couch, her slender legs moving so she could curl up against the arm of the chair.

Genevieve gave a soft sigh as she stood up. Might as well head downstairs and check out the kitchen and write down her allergy to chocolate. It was to be expected of course, since she was a dog after all. Still it was better to be safe then sorry.

She walked out of her room barefoot and headed down the stairs at a leisurely pace. Her ears twitched as she grew closer to the kitchen. Was that Sebastian talking to himself in there. Who on earth was Ginger?

She cleared her throat and began hesitantly, "Uhh, Sebastian are...are you alright?" She stopped moving at the entrance to the kitchen and waited for him to answer her question.

Sebastian had been talking out loud when he heard a soft voice behind him. He jumped out of his seat, squeaking slightly, then whirled. All he saw was the dog-girl. He remembered her name being Geneveive. He blinked for a few moments, then shrugged. "Just holding an imaginary conversation with the person responsible for overseeing this little project." He sighed, then slowly sank back into the seat, and closed his eyes.

"Alright. Umm...is there anything I can do for you?" She walked over to the fridge and scribbled down chocolate on the allergy list. "What about foods you do and don't like?" She smiled at him warmly, her tail wagging slowly.

Sebastian blinked, then considered. "Well, I'm allergic to mushrooms. I hate shellfish of all kinds, but love other fish. I hate any food that the bones haven't been removed, even though I know that cooking fish makes the bones edible. Um...I love chocolate cake, but I hate the sweet cream icing they sell at stores. I prefer creamcheese frosting. In fact, I love most chocolate, especially cream puffs and napoleons. Stirfry is good too, especially sweet and sour. Oh, and my favorite chips are Salt and Vinegar, the crunchy kind." He thought for a moment, trying to see if he left anything out. "Oh yeah, when I make burgers, I put my chips on top of the pickles, which I'd prefer to be either sweet or bread and butter."

Walking back into the manor, I went into the kitchen, and found Sebastian and Genevieve talking. "Hi, so do we get a grand tour of the house now?" I asked with a grin. "Though I have been doing my own exploring around, so I found the games room, and found the pool, oh and of course I found a room."

Sebastian heard the voice of one of the others, he didn't recognize which yet, and turned in the direction of it. He finally recognized Kara, the tigress. He smiles, and then turned to look at Genevieve, then back at Kara, before speaking. "Well, I was going to, but you all rushed off. It should probably wait until everyone's together. If you want, you can try to gather them all in the living room or here. Either place would work, since there'd be a place to sit for a bit while waiting."

--

Trey had explored some, and ended up in the kitchen just in time to hear mention of a tour. He raised an eyebrow, then grinned, and meowed loudly. "A tour would be a good idea. One can only learn so much on their own. Is there anything else that needs to be done? Wait, you said something about allergies. You can put me and Riza up for dairy products. We'll need to get some of those calcium supplements, I suppose."

"Marking their territories I presume." grinning a little mischeviously. Well I for one had a long drive, mind if I relax here for awhile, while we get the rest together? I streched a little, and settled down on a chair crossing my shapley legs.

Elle had listened intently to what the man named Sebastian had been saying about the rooms and such. She didn't require a lot considering that she was a photographer and that she was a set designer. She was really into the simpler things and while she was out here it was understood she would be working with a very small company, she hoped that she could help them out...

She found herself wandering around the house getting to know the layout herself, she didn't really feel like people would understand why she was sniffing things. Sure, they were all mostly animals and they all sniffed things, but she thought that it should be more personal than that.

The wolf woman smiled as she looked at the pretty fox who was seated on the window seat looking out at only god knew what.

Back up to her room she went, her room needed to be cleaned and then everything unpacked... Great what a fun chore!

Genevieve looked at Sebastian a little worried, but decided not to push anymore and ask him more questions. She tilted her head and woofed softly in question at what he said next:

Well, I was going to, but you all rushed off. It should probably wait until everyone's together. If you want, you can try to gather them all in the living room or here. Either place would work, since there'd be a place to sit for a bit while waiting."

"Erm...did you mean me Sebastian?" She looked puzzled and tilted her head in the other direction. "Or did you want someone else to do it?" She crossed her arms and leaned against the counter as she waited for him to answer her questions.

Sebastian blinked, turning to look at Genevieve again. Then he smiled, and shrugged. "Well, either of you can. Or both, that might make it go faster. I really should have thought of some sort of PA system for inside. I suppose I'll have to talk to Ginger about that later. Anyways, how about we split up, gather as many as we can, and meet back here. That goes for you too, uh...Trey, right?" Then he stood up, and pushed the chair back in.

---

Trey grinned, and nodded. He had hoped he'd be able to help, and it gave him the perfect opportunity to meet the other residents. He gave a mock salute, then headed back out the kitchen door, and picked a direction at random, checking in any rooms he found on the way.

he knocked on her door "do you mind some company" he asks holding a few drinks. he has already unpacked and wants to meet some people she was the only one who seemed intrested. he knocks again when she does not answer the door.

"I don't mind," she called when he knocked for a second time. She didn't really mind the company while she was unpacking. She looked up at the other wolf and smiled. "So did you get a good look around the house?"

Elle had not really gotten too far on the actual details of the house but she was sure she knew where the bathrooms were and where the kitchen was located.

"So what were you up to?" She asked.
