Have any of you ever seen it?

I love this movie!

"Its the attack of little Eddie Munster!"

"One thing about Santa Carla... All the damn Vampires..."

Then there's always movies like Night of the Comit...

"The burden of civilization is uppon us..."

"Oh, right, BITCHING isn't it?!"

"You wouldn't believe what we want from you, in your worst nightmare, you wouldn't believe..."

"Lets play a game! Its called 'scary noises!'"

I never saw that movie. But my favorite horror classic is "Christine". Ironically, I work with a woman with the same name and the same attitude of the 57' Plymouth in the movie.

But we can't leave out the horrific of all horror flicks.......
"KILLER KLOWNS FROM OUTER SPACE"
Hell, I get jitters just typing the words............LOL

Princess Bride...

"To the PAIN!"

Labyrinth:

"Thats not FAIR!"

"You say that so often, I wonder what your basis for comparison is..."

Legend:

"You don't really intend to eat me do you?"

"Oh, I most certainly DO!"

Saw part of it...

Pennywise scared me more...

"We float, we all float down here.... And when you're down here... YOU'LL FLOAT TOO!"

That fucker scared the shit out of me!

The Lost Boys

"Its the blood sucking Brady Bunch!"

I love this stupid movie. It guarantees laughs every time! :p

Granted, I was never frightened or even in shock when I first saw "Christine". I was more in awe.
I only imagined being posessed by my favorite car....1972 Buick Riviera which I'll name Quenella.

Princess Bride...

"To the PAIN!"

Inconvievable!

I don't think that means what you think it means...

Labyrinth:

"Thats not FAIR!"

"You say that so often, I wonder what your basis for comparison is..."

I ask for so little. Just fear me, love me, do as I say and I will be your slave.

and

Jareth: Sarah i have been generous till now and i can be cruel.
Sarah: Generous? What have you done that is generous?
Jareth: EVERYTHING! Everything that you wanted I have done. You asked that child be taken. I took him. You cowered before me and I was frightening. I have reordered time. I have turned the world upside down. AND I HAVE DONE IT ALL FOR YOU! I am exhausted from living up to your expectations. Isn't that generous?

Legend:

"You don't really intend to eat me do you?"

"Oh, I most certainly DO!"
(I love that one, btw *G*)

The dreams of youth are the regrets of maturity.

and

Black as midnight, black as pitch, blacker than the foulest witch.

The scariest movie I can think of, believe it or not, and don't laff *G* is The Fog.
Yes, the one with the glowing fog that turns ya inside out and the pirates and bad effects....

Must have something to do with this little phobia I've got...

IT really was a scary film. Not so much gory as...

...suspense.

And the best thing about the Lost Boys was the soundtrack.

Lost Boys

LOl, Lost Boys was the first DVD I got. Could not find it on vhs anymore lol and Best Buys had a few they were selling cheap.

Man, The Lost Boys was one of my fave movies of all time. When it came out, fifteeen of us piled into a pickup to go to the theatre. The soundtrack also rocked huh??
Other fave "horror" films are Alien, The Thing and Stephen King's It.

The Thing

Is that the one in Antarctica or something like that? That bit when the guy's head grew legs and walked off was so funny.

The lost boys was a great movie and Kiefer Sutherland was so funny in it but then I find all scary movies funny!

Ravenloft, once again: you rule.

And thank you for this delightful death march down memory lane. :)

Lost Boys

Death - by stereo!

That was a great flick :) Now I'm going to have to go and get it on DVD. :p Thanks Ravenloft.

yep, thats the one starring Kurt Russell.
i think that was and is a classic movie. i have seen it a few times and i still enjoy watching it.
excellent movie.

The Lost Boys and Labyrinth are on the top of my favorite movies list.

I was in love with both Kiefer Sutherland and David Bowie.

I also love Princess Bride and Legend!

My favs

Funny: "Killer Klowns from Mars"
"Army of Darkness"

Scary: "Fright Night"
"Alien"
"Halloween"
"When a Stranger calls"

Really creepy: "Hannibal"

I LOVE The Lost Boys. And to think Alex Winter (one of the lesser vamps) went on to make the Bill & Ted movies. Hmm, TLB was probably the high point of his career.

"Ah, but Michael, never invite a vampire into your house. tsk, tsk, tsk."

Another favorite funny horror movie: Nightmare on Elm Street 3, Dream Warriors. In addition to Patricia Arquette and Laurence Fishburne (It's like "Before they were Rock Stars"!), this one has Jennifer Rubin--my personal favorite 80s Scream Queen. Rubin was also in Bad Dreams and The Crush, two more nominees for this list.

I like the whole idea of Cary Elwes being menaced by a 14 year old girl; I like it even though the whole movie relies on the audience's willingness to accept pretty overt pedophilia in a heroic lead. But that's a whole different conversation.

Did anyone else actually really like The Rage: Carrie 2? Okay, it's nothing like the original. Okay, it's not at all scary. But it was how all those damned coming-of-age teensploitation movies SHOULD have ended. I wish.
