with the caps on % of profits to big wigs, hopefully small business will be able to afford insurance sometime soon for their employees. i wouldn't call it unintended. time to redo those budgets! survival of the fittest! BCBS had record profits last year while rates rose through the roof. i guess they needed one last hurrah. hopefully this will level out to a normal soon.
Not likely, welcome to the new paradigm. You speak of small business when even IBM is divesting itself of it's health programs for their retiree's. 110,000 people affected by the new policy. And the likes of IBM even got a one year waiver, they're just getting ahead of the curve.
It's not going to get better.
