His iambic pentameter is nonexistent and the content is meaningless at best. He should post in the Poetry Forum and save me the agony of having my eyes glaze over when they happen upon his creepy AV and/or comments. Good riddance, I say. :rolleyes:

My Iambic pentameter is bent but not quite non-existent. I liked him, weirdness and all.

No, he rarely rhymed and style was often difficult where I oftentimes needed a translator or on the 10th read it became clear. Many epiphany aha moments! No spam under the cleaves name.

I’ve made a few posts in Bantering Octogons, but that was not his thread. Somewhere to vent the head or make salad with words.

I wasn't aiming for it. I was simply looking to throw off the pacing so it couldn't be timed by a coordinated effort.

I'd take it if it happened. The only time I lurked to get it, I sniped it as Conager. I made a legit post a couple of pages before, then had another post, responding to a poster a page back, teady to go, do it would be plausible that I "accidently" won and had no idea what it meant.

H's thread wasn't the official burt thread, just an H thread for people to post in or not as they chose. laurel's 5000th post wins rule only applies to the official thread. q nearly popped when H made a funny by starting a new alt blurt thread before the other reached 5000. any 'winner' of it would be by agreement only, nothin' to do with the site owner.for laurel to think about.

yes, yes he did... H was showing me the thread on his pc last night. as i recall, the 'winner' is the one with the 5oooth post but if, as in this case, it's won by the same person, the 4999th post poster gets the goodies.

speaking as someone who has proofread and missed things, there's never anything wrong with proofreading 2 or 3 times.

:rose: how much longer till you get off? (work, not "get off" get off)

i had a 5 hour stint outside clearing out years and years worth of accumulated dirt-dobber mud blobs, rat droppings, wren nests, and junk from the shelves running the width of the second double garage. stuff in there from the 70's! these are BIG shelves, deep as well. unfortunately, where we feed the dogs & chickens out back of the garage and the outdoors cats in it, we have to keep on top of the rat population as they help themselves. mostly we might just see the odd one, but lately they've been breeding and i've been having to lay traps. guess that's farm living for you. dirty job, but i feel satisfied now it's done and i'm all peachy clean again. :cool:

I like satisfying work like that.

I am here for another 2 1/2 hours, and for 10 hours tomorrow. Friday’s are generally busy, but I did a lot of stuff yesterday that I would normally do on Friday.
