It's super easy and delicious! I've made it for several years now:

Thanks. I think I'll try this next year!

I'm a pretty good cook....I'd say intermediate to advanced-intermediate.

I've never done a complete Thanksgiving menu before though...timing stuff might be a bit of a challenge.

It's not as daunting as it seems, but I remember that feeling the first time I was cooking for everyone when my mother became ill.

So, no cooking of the turkey, I'm starting to get over it. This is aided by the fact that much Aass will be had.

I once did it alone, for 16 people. Wife was bedridden. M-I-L was in ICU at hospital and the whole side of her family was bunked at our house. And not one of "them" would lift a finger to help. It was an experience. Ask me why I don't ever care to have Thanksgiving with her relatives.

I hear ya. This was for all of my family and I went it alone. Some of my siblings even learned a thing or two about cooking from my mom.

At least, I had my wife's advice and she was just a few steps away. I still harbor some ill feelings from this incident because of what people expected.

That's some Aass I've never had before. In fact, I've never even seen that Aass before.

Gotta try that Aass sometime, if I can find it here! :D

Dunno about in the states, but Norwegian Beer in Norway is almost to expensive to drink.

I do everything that I can the day before: cooking, making the stuffing, baking, slicing and dicing. I even get the veggies ready for the turkey carcass. (Soup afterwards)

All that needs to be done that day is, stuff the bird and app's in the oven when guests arrive. Last minute, veggies, mashed potatoes and gravy from the fixings.

Exactly. You have to go to Norway to tap that Aass. My sis brought this back with her.

I dunno. This is the Second Age of Hipsters and I'm in one of their prime breeding grounds since the beginning and the Rings were forged.

If there is a little-known upscale beer in the world with an unforgettable name that exists for hipsters to flash, there's a high chance I can find some o' that Aass here! :D

wow that's a lot of work. props to you!

all i have to make is a loaf of pecan nutbread, which i'll do right after my soccer game.
hopefully it'll come out nice, i'm sorta hit or miss on that

My mother in law is making dinner tonight. Bless her beautiful heart.

Nothing like some selfies to remind me how large my bottom lip is.

Doing whatever that can be done ahead of time helps. And years of practice. My first year, I roasted the bird, with the bag of parts still in it. Never told a soul!

Bread for me is hit or miss as well. Sometimes it comes out great, other times it is as dense as a brick.
