Ha! Yeah, that probably goes both ways. I have looked at the crossword puzzles in the "magazines" they have on flights and I don't know half of the answers because they are related to tv shows or some other such nonsense.

The annual attempt of the stink bugs to take up residence indoors has commenced.
The goddamned things have the most amazing ability to squeeze through almost any opening. In that respect, they're a bit like octopus (who are simply astonishing in that regard).
I don't believe stink bugs are a reliable indicator of whether winter is going to be harsh or not. This year, they've been joined by the crickets in trying to get indoors. I confess that I don't recall having previously found so many crickets in my abode. The only possibly reliable indicator of the harshness of the forthcoming winter I've experienced has been the field mice (the phenomena is currently in the hypothesis testing stage). There was but one year where I had an invasion of field mice— and the following winter was a bear.
I'll let y'all know if I start seeing evidence of a mouse invasion.
