A city person drowned in the river yesterday. Every year two or three of them think its like their community pool and get swept away.


JohnnyFact: the summer after high school Johnny was a life guard on a popular part of the river and got a commendation from the governor for saving the life of a fool that thought the river was like his community pool.

Johnny is a fine, upstanding human being. The story reminds me of an incident in Ronald Reagan's life guard career.

Any health benefits touted about margarine are based on the original plant sources used. Unfortunately, the manufacturing and hydrogenation processes, and the chemistry used to make it more stable and pleasing to the eye and palate take it further and further away from those ‘beneficial’ plant sources.

Margarine is an inexpensive, butter imitation that was never designed to be healthy or nutritious. It is, essentially, Frankenfood.
