the subway scene in fantastic beasts will not remind me of the ending of paranoia agent. i liked paranoia agent, but that doesn't make it good thing.

also, fantastic beasts just gets worse every time i see it. i really hope the second one is better. also, that i find something else to watch soon.

but fuck it. i'm just too lazy to change the channel.

Almost forgot how fun it is to fuck with the headass lifer mofos here with their eyeballs stuck on the screen and index fingers glued to the enter button 24-7.

For a lil' bit, anyways. Gotta eat an' live. :D

I bought it all; the meat, the salt, and the executive chef spice blend. Also, the grill, the natural gas, the Thermapen, the foil, etc.

Always go with executive-level spices. Never use those cheap-ass spices!

"But what does that mean to you?"
"I don't know, I'm acting in bad faith."
"Wait a minute, now... You didn't answer my question."

April 1865: The Month That Saved America
by Jay Winik (2001)

...The author’s global approach offers the seasoned Civil War student a fresh perspective in a field dominated by narrowly focused studies that never consider the conflict from a national standpoint, let alone an international one. In breaking away from this provincial view, Winik draws from his vast experience as a senior staff member with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and uses his firsthand knowledge to explain why so many 20th-century civil wars followed a cycle of endless bloodshed. In the case of the United States, the author found a surprising spirit of reconciliation that appeared immediately after Appomattox. Although he acknowledges that bitter, often violent political fights continued during Reconstruction–particularly over the status of freed blacks–Winik believes that Abraham Lincoln’s plea for compassion and forgiveness in his second inaugural address, Ulysses S. Grant’s and William T. Sherman’s generous surrender terms, and Robert E. Lee’s refusal to use guerilla warfare created an atmosphere that ultimately led to a lasting peace...

R. E. Lee told his men to lay down their arms, go home and be good citizens. If he'd told those men to "take to the hills" and engage in guerilla warfare...

Aren't you the one with over 58,000 posts? The one with 15 posts per day?

I can se the spittle flying as they sit stammering at their screens.

It's a Monday. Yay. I am so enthused. I could just do cartwheels. 😑

I reserved the long weekend around Labor Day. That's a good thing at least.
