Alright, what's the deal?

Do I really want to do a seven-day, 350 mile bicycle tour requiring five nights of camping?

Do I really want to run the risk of being forced to bicycle in the rain, cold and mud? There are no guaranties. At this time of the year, the possibilities range from three solid days of torrential rain from a dying and exhausted tropical storm to seven straight days of brilliant sunshine. Nevertheless, the odds are that, in seven days, it's very likely there will be at least some rainy days.

Is the reason that I'm contemplating doing this solely to have the satisfaction of being able to say I've done it?

There are, of course, potential compensations— not least of which are the possibilities of excellent weather, gorgeous vistas and plain old fun.

I'm a little bit bored by riding the same routes.

There's really no rational way to figure out whether I'll end up being miserable and pissed off or delighted with a little adventure.

I didn't know eyer had a beard.

I'm compelled to answer this in song quotes. The first from James McMurtury:
"Whiskey don't make liars
it just makes fools"

The second from my buddy Dave Bassett
"Too much water in the whiskey and not one gets drunk
Too whiskey in the water and no one gets home"
.
By my observations, you're not here enough for addicted status

Because I love you.

We stopped for breakfast. I think she's a little tired from all her hard work bicycling. :D

Is this an organized tour? 50 miles a day is a standard day for people with loaded touring bikes. Organized tours offer a van to carry your gear, which makes the 50 miles a day a piece of cake. All you need to carry with you is water, a snack, and a rain jacket. And then, there's the sag wagon, which will pick you up should the bike or you break and be not readily repaired.

D'aww, fanks GS. :rose:

Here's hoping you drift into dreamland...more kbate dreams? Maybe Fata will make a cameo. :D

I'm just happy to have gotten back on the bike for (almost) 11 miles this morning.

My soul is happy.

That sounds like a lot of fun.
