This is the blurt. I blurted that I wish he had told me. I'm not bad mouthing anyone. None of you know the man I dated in 1989. I think this is the only place I can say what I said above. Give me a break!

I guess I'm lucky I wasn't his wife who walked in on him oiled up with another man.

Rainbows are always awesome! Especially indoors.

People trying to bad mouth their former lovers, not so much.

For what it's worth, if I meet up with a former lover, I never mouth her badly.

Sloppily, maybe. Sometimes you gotta sluice it up.

YOU just made me laugh :). Actually, he was a fashion designer in NYC back then. I don't recall him sporting any of those vintage styles.

That style was the rage back then, though. Oversized jackets, big shoulders, patterns everywhere...fashion wise, the last five years of the 1980s was a long, drawn-out butter pat on a slice of bread. I was still wearing stuff from '86 in '89 as long as it fit and wasn't ripped or faded. You could get away with that, the style difference in the years wasn't measurably noticeable, at least for men.

I hate knowing that I thought I was stylish as fuck back then, but now...I wouldn't step out the door like that if you paid me! :D

Are you a fashion person? In the industry?

I'm thinking someone is getting a little wet here.

Just me thinking.

Really, it's just sweat. It's humid as all get-out and I had to help put a boiler in a basement. All the young ones went on vacation and left the old guy to do the heavy lifting.

Nah. I went to art school during the late '80s and early '90s and back then, the different creative community circles overlapped frequently at parties, events and functions, so I was acquaintances with a few heads who were studying to be and/or were in the industry. Was fun times. I miss certain aspects of it occasionally, if only in that there was significantly less of a pervasive money-lust culture locking things down and stymying comfortable access to creativity and time.

I know what you mean.

I also attended art school at that time. MassArt in Boston.

I've got suntan on one arm, tomorrow I'm going to have to face the other way when working outside.
