Really? I've heard that about Siamese but not about calicos.

My first cat was a bengal. Her human-momma told me straightaway that she would not be a lapcat, and that was the case. She wanted affection on her own terms - from both humans and other cats. It wasn't until after she died that I realized that her little stepbrother (an american shorthair born of feral strays abandoned on our lawn as a 3-week-old kitten) had lived an incredibly lonely existence. Once she left, he really blossomed - became uber-cuddly with us, really playful and happily vocal. So I guess my first kitty was a strict little bitch. As sad as I am that she died, I'm happy he got the chance to live happily.

It's weird how dogs can generally meet and play, while cats either click or they don't - ever.
 
ahhhh Is this how it goes ? Ginger haired people have Auburn hair. Red heads have hair that is carrot coloured-
or copper penny colored. Ginger haired people have pale freckles and pink noses. (And flushed faces?)
Red heads have distinct freckles. (and frightening shows of bad temper)
 
Freaking adorable little carnivores. I wonder if they think we're cute when we sleep too.

I've never thought of doing that!
I was cat-sitting once and woke with three cats sleeping on top of me. It was a little unsettling.

Is he licking his butt? Mine was sitting happily on my lap up until 5 minutes ago, at which time his limbs went all akimbo as he went to town under his own tail. Had to give him the boot.

HA! I KNEW IT.

He disappears for hours. I thought he was in his little red cloth house, but clearly that is not the case.

He actually sits that way. Then when I ask him why he gives me that look, it can't be good for his back.
