It's probably some sugar/cinnamon crust to go with the pumpkin. I'd try it.

It is pumpkin ale, and the glass has been rimmed with sugar/cinnamon. It's an amazing combination.

I can't say I'm a grand fan of the pumpkin beers.

Not everyone is, but it's my favorite seasonal brew. I'm not a huge fan of winter lagers, nor hoppy spring types. I tend to stick to Guinness three out of the four seasons. The taste's better back home, but I don't mind it here.
