And a very special hug for a family member, Father Walt, who passed away this week at age 77. A wonderful man that dedicated his life to the Catholic church, a simple man that presided over family prayer at Thanksgiving for decades while I grew up. He never lost that mischevious grin, that twinkle in his eyes, and could still assume the Irish brogue of his grandmother after two debilitating strokes. Thank you for sharing our family history with me... your meticulous records, photographs and wonderful stories were priceless. Without you, the story of our family could not have been told. You were the last to carry the family name, but you will never be forgotten.

Thank you for the hugs, Toni. We really needed it. It looks like we can use another one. This new tumor that my wife has apparently is causing some troubles with her heart. She went into the E.R. this morning with chest pains and admitted to the hospital tonight. She will have an angiogram tomorrow morning to try to determine what has happened.

Now, I want to give a big hug to all of the wonderful people on this thread. You have all been a great comfort as we go through are many medical problems.

He is going in to surgery this afternoon so the doctors can try and clean out some of the infection because he waited so long before going to the hospital. It seems as though our prayers have been answered so far.
My nephew came through his surgery just fine and is resting tonight. Now they are dealing with the infection but the doctor says his prognosis looks very good.

My wife and I are sending you and your nephew the hugs that you need to sustain you. We are also praying that the doctors find the right antibiotic to treat the infection. This has been a bad season for spider bites. My wife was in the E.R. and hospital Monday and Tuesday and had a young girl in next to her that had also been bitten by a spider. The Brown Recluse is especially bad, so we pray that your nephew did not, indeed wait too long. How old is he? Young children often have a harder time. Please keep us advised about his condition.
