The Hell With Border Security

He says now if Leahy's gay marriage amendment remains in the bill he's pulling his support. What the fuck is a gay marriage amendment doing in an immigration bill in the first place.

It's probably there because marriage relates to immigration -- family unification and all of that.

Let's be clear, they are an unassimilable minority. All you have to do is look at East L.A., They want to bring their culture with them, and the government encourages them to do so. It's all about diversity now. Balkanization is Obama's goal.

Look, wherever you are in America, you won't have to walk far to find some place where English was almost never heard in the streets two or three generations ago.

They lack the will to improve the shit pile they came from. They're coming for the benefits.

 No, sir. A man who crosses the desert on foot or gets in debt to a coyote, just so he can hang around the Home Depot parking lot and catch odd construction or landscaping jobs, is not in it for the benefits. He is in it because he can earn more in dollars here than he can earn in pesos back home. As for the ones who want to improve the shit pile where they came from, that would be the PRD, who never do seem to get a break, what can you do.

And can we get a better term for our citizens than "American" there's like three continents of Americas.

No, we can't. No other country is using "American" as a demonym, and we have been using it since before independence.

America was built by legal immigration with rapid assimilation (E Pluribus Unum).

America is being destroyed by massive illegal immigration with celebration of division.

I don't know how what you're calling 'legal' really counts as legal. The immigrants were the ones who decreed the legality of their acts; they kind of ruled by their own divine right, which is a sweet gig when you can get it, from what history has shown us.

Because the current immigration law discriminates against homosexuals. Currently a homosexual resident can't sponsor a same sex fiance(e) or spouse solely because of the fact of them being gay.
You might better ask what does an anti-abortion amendment (what some GOP lawmakers want to add) have to do with immigration.

It's being destroyed, you fool.

America will still be here for your great-grandchildren. It will have the same 1789 Constitution as now. It will be a country very different from the one you grew up in but still the same, just as the country you grew up in was very different from your great-grandparents' country but still the same.

I refuse to admit that an American didn't invent that.
And can we get a better term for our citizens than "American" there's like three continents of Americas.

No, there are only two continents that comprise the Americas.

Central America is a geographic designation but it is not a continent.

No, there are three continents: North America, South America, and Little America (Antarctica).

The current immigration law is being violated by all who are here illegally.
That statement has nothing to do with your question and is completely irrelevant to my reply.

Show me a GOP amendment on abortion for the immigration bill.
I misread an article.
In response to Sen Leahy's proposed same sex marriage amendment, Sen. Marco Rubio and other Republicans who helped write the immigration bill say that they didn’t attach controversial pro-life measures, as if they were somehow equivalent.

So, you might better ask, "What does an anti-abortion amendment (or abortion at all) have to do with immigration? I'm not aware of anything in current immigration law that addresses the issue of abortion even indirectly.
