Most of the LW 'readers' who one-bomb and post ugly comments are LW-only writers trying to make their own works look better by comparison. Don't let the LW troll swamp dampen your spirits.

New author here, I made the mistake of posing my first story in LW, was not aware of the minefield. Holy s**t. There are some really angry disturbed people out there. Good to know they don’t dominate everywhere on Lit. I’ll post elsewhere from now on…..

The challenges of writing Loving Wives are well established. The Trolls certainly can have an effect on how you post. However, at the same time, there are a lot of really good readers in the LW category as well. As someone that has written exclusively in LW so far, I can tell you that I do struggle now and then with the negative comments. I recently completed a new series "The Nuclear Family" and the amount of hate I got was astounding.

If you read through the comments on all four parts you can see the that Trolls had a really good go at me on pretty much every front including quite a few personal insults (I only deleted a couple that went a little too far), Ultimately I circle around those comments and understand that the Trolls may not have very nice personal lives and they flock to LW stories to feel some validation, the world, their partners, their lives have hurt them and while they read the stories more than likely they just need to strike out at someone to feel something. They do have my pity. If that earns me their hate then that's okay. I have stated many times that I don't write for them. I write for me, like it or don't like it I put the time and effort in and if what I write helps even one person than screw ratings and bad comments, that one person that my story helped has done its job.

For spillover, I can't really comment as I have yet to post a non-LW story. I have outlines for three 'Romance' stories, so I guess i'll see what happens.

I've thought about the Pseudo-Pseudonym to post stuff in LW. I have a finished 4 part series and like two more stories that I'm just letting sit there because they are LW stories. My "A Little Quarantine Oops" is a hundred percent a LW story that I didn't want to post there so I made it "outside" and when I didn't think that would tick the box enough, I added somebody to catch them in the most passive of ways. (I like B.L.L. now that I created her. She's becoming my Stan Lee and showing up in more and more stories.) I think they still found it because it's a pretty low rated story and there are for sure LW Troll comments there. I did "Wife" and "Affair" tags on it, so maybe I shouldn't have done that but...

I love LW. I love all the nasty comments. They are fun. Such vitriol. To have that power over a reader is amazing. I write cuckold, hot wife, gang bang, stories just to watch them scurry. I have had them follow me to other categories just to insult me and 1* bomb my stories.

what they can’t do is harm your favorites. I have over 8000 followers And stories with over 500 favorites. Scores are meaningless.

I feel the haters are fans. They follow me and read every word. They can quote stories of mine from other categories. They’re just fans that follow me so they can be angry. They were hurt by a woman and want to relive that feeling because it excites them in ways they don’t understand.

remember anything over a 3 means at least 1/2 the readers liked it.

if you want praise and scores, write incest stories.

My latest story posted to LW (Lifestyle Ch.12: The Bar Group) just crawled UP to 2.0 average with 61 votes in three days!

Besides the BTB favored stories, the trolls there seem to rate stories told from the wife or her lover's POV better than those told from the husband's POV having a positive spin on swinging.

I’ve found that since the new interface went up, I’m getting less reads. Where I used to get hundreds of thousands of views I’m now getting under 100,000 views on LW Stories.

I think it’s because the stories only stay on the front page for a day.

All of your reads will still amount to the same amount of money. Or am I missing something?

I know we all want people to read our stories. I will also admit that 100,000 reads would be great. Even so, I don't sweat how many read the stories or what the votes are. I used to do that, but not anymore. I write for me, and I'm an aqauired taste.

I admit to getting a thrill out of seeing reads and favorites. I also love comments and feedback. Score, meh. But you’re right, the pay is the same.

I got a 2-grenade for a well written. sweet little romance story, a young couple fought off temptation for 2 years, got married, snuck off between the photo ops and the dinner and made love for the first time. How do you 2 bomb that? No explanation, just Bam. 25 ratings of five, then a 2.

Yeah, we don't get paid anything, I'll probably never win a contest, chances are that I'll burn out eventually, but ratings tell me that I'm doing good work, I'm hitting the right notes for my readers, and I want to see honest ratings. My average for all 26 works is 4.71 so I'm doing something right. I don't get a lot of 1-bombs and 2-grenades, all I ask is that if your rating is 1 or 2, grow a pair and tell me why you chose your rating. I'm guessing that will never happen because I chat with my readers, Whitwaterbum and I have had many conversations over story content, as well as I have with many other readers.

Can I request a sweep?

As these shit stains keep spreading out I wonder how many people it will take to pretty much say I don't need this, and leave before the site might think they may have to do something here.

What can they do? A couple years ago I'd have said nothing, but seeing they now screen comments (spam...yeah) well they see these things and seem to think its just damn hilarious to let all this crap through.

My point is its reached a level where there's blame to be shared beyond the trolls themselves. Lit seems to like being a toxic environment on many levels. Sooner or later people will move on.

I believed this one, "Keep walking nothing to read here........... extremely low ball for a story, doesn't know anything about erotica storytelling.......... major boring............." actually kept someone from reading the story, sure as shit, I'd delete it. I may in the future.

Back before they moderated comments I wrote a story, ‘you only think you're in control’ to troll the trollers. At one point it had a score of 4.75 for months. Then I got seriously group 1* bombed. Drove it down to 4.25

for a while I even trolled the commenters. Its now got over 300 comments and its a riot. If you get bored, go read the comments. They’re really Fun.

Why is it that the same people who complain about young people being easily triggered snowflakes are so fond of getting irate about imaginary scenarios?

And why do the people who complain about "redefining terms" keep talking about "pronouns" without understanding what a pronoun is?

I getcha, honestly, I do. That's why I've tried to spin a story in some way so it fits somewhere else, anywhere EXCEPT LW! Lit isn't that strict on its categories. I only had one story moved to a different category, which also ruined the twist/surprise of the story. It was a surprise Tranny - and it got moved to their Tranny section because Lit sucks and can't take a joke - even if all the action was hetero. It is what it is, but seriously - do all you can to avoid the cesspool of LW!

Your stories are all over the map, and more than a few could be in multiple categories. I have a couple saved as favorites

Several of your stories could very well be in the LW category, but you wisely put them elsewhere. I think I have one of yours saved as a favorite

Which is why when the idea of an LW story enters my mind I will just put it there and flaunt my moral decay and horrific ideology that women can act like men.
