For the first time in a looong time, I posted a story in "Loving Wives." The troglodytes are out in force. That doesn't bother me. What I DO find annoying is said enraged incels reviewing other stories of mine, not in the LW category and one-bombing them and insulting me. I geet that LW brings out the trolls, but why do then feel the need to troll everything else I wrote? I don't know what can be done, but it IS infuriating!

I mean how tiny are the wings of those guys? Do they EVER leave their mom's basement?

The LW trolls are extra vicious. IMHO, only a fool posts there. Spill-over is a real deal. I'm sorry this happened to you. I've also noticed that posting about such matters in the forum (like this) can lead to a reduction in scores, too. Best to keep your head down and not attract attention yourself in the forums or by posting in the "wrong" category. Avoiding the chat feature is probably a good idea, too.

Yeah, I hear you. The story simply would not have fit anywhere else. Otherwise, I would have found another place for it.

I getcha, honestly, I do. That's why I've tried to spin a story in some way so it fits somewhere else, anywhere EXCEPT LW! Lit isn't that strict on its categories. I only had one story moved to a different category, which also ruined the twist/surprise of the story. It was a surprise Tranny - and it got moved to their Tranny section because Lit sucks and can't take a joke - even if all the action was hetero. It is what it is, but seriously - do all you can to avoid the cesspool of LW!

I've gotten peeved letters when I put a science fiction tale in "Romance" and on other occasions when the story wasn't strictly to category. That I understand and the users were generally nice about it. Those types of complaints are fair and no one insulted my parentage.

I've written only one LW. The comments were so nasty, I decided not to write any more, thinking they might decide to go after my other stories, just like they did with you.
I've only written one as well. The nastiness of the comments makes me disinclined to ever do it again.

It's anybody's guess what some readers want. One thing I've never understood, is, if reading a story about a cheating wife pisses them off, then why do they bother exploring that category, much less commenting? If I start reading something I don't enjoy, I just move on. One click of the mouse and I'm onto another story. I don't feel compelled to snipe at the author, or suggest that the FICTIONAL characters should die in a grease fire. There are so many stories on this site, that no one has to read anything that they I don't like.

Why not just disable comments and voting ?
I learned my lesson with the one submission to LW, and for the most part, I don't really get any nasty remarks on any of my other stories. So, I can't see a point in disabling comments and votes that are mostly positive, providing of course that I write for categories that my readers seem to enjoy reading.

That's too bad. Spillover is the one reason I'm reluctant to post there. I don't mind if my story gets a bad score in that category, but I don't want all other stories to get torched.

My advice: try to find another category. I've had good luck posting those kinds of stories in Exhibitionist and Voyeur. It's not hard to put an EV spin on an LW story, and Lit is very open minded about what gets posted to EV. You'll get a little hostility from that crowd, but not much, and the scores are fine.

Rage boners. These sad, warped, red hat-wearing misogynists are incapable of feeling anything other than hatred, especially when it comes to women. So they seek out things that will make them angry because festering in resentment is the only way that they know how to feel alive.

my most recent story has a tiny 200 word mentio of a gollden shower in an 11,000 word May- December tale, included to portray the willingness of that character to submit, and got comments HATING me for not putting the story in Fetish. Because we can't include more than one concept?

But at least they were comments.

The LW-type stories could as easily be in Erotic Couplings.

I post to LW sometimes with the knowledge that the trolls are going to hate me for it. But as you've found, they do stalk me in 1-bombing my past stories and even going after my later published ones. I had a 1-rating on LIFESTYLE CH. 11 - DEMONS PAST within the first hours after publishing in "Romance". All other ratings since have been five 5s and one 3.

And as BuckyDuckman said above, your posts here in the forum can gain another author 1-bombing your past stories. It happened to me back in December, when after some exchanges here in a thread, I found within an hour ALL eight of my stories receiving a 1 rating.

So, with the trolls, stalking vindictive authors, and other simple-minded haters, I just reset my mental switch to ignore the ratings. I find it interesting when authors on here insist that if you just "like" their story with a 4, you've insulted them and you're a hater for doing it. LOL.

Gee, thanks Bucky, I post there all the time, are you one of my trolls? Do you think me a fool?

It is true that there are a lot of men there that have had their problems with women and may have even been or still are a cuck and hate it so they take it out on stories there.

If you turn off anonymous feedback you will find that the anonymous cucks disappear. And while in the beginning the scores might be low they get up into the 4 range.

Then again you, the author, have control of the comments. You can delete any that you don't want there.

You can do it on a per story basis. You don't need to do it on all of them, just the ones you think will get blasted by the poor little cucks that read them.

I have a few stories in LW which have not been trolled too viciously. But they are over 10 years old. If I were considering writing a LW story today or in the future I would create an alternate author profile and use it exclusively for LW content.

No, Zed, I didn't mean it that personally - I know there are several authors who post there regularly - and a few others who purpose wade in there just for fun. But for the uninitiated, it's like jumping into the deep end of a pool full of piranhas and alligators. Let's not forget, several years ago I started a thread suggesting that Lit should do away with that category.

I've started a revenge story that involves a cheating wife who took her ex-husband to the cleaners. The ex-husband and friend find a man to ruin her life. It is sort of a reverse Vamp story. I'm a bit worried about what category I'll post the story in. I figure the incels will love the story, which I really don't want to happen. I've toyed with an alternate pen name, but don't really want to do that. I'm also planning a Vamp or Baricuda tale or two. I do like revenge stories, not that I would ever take revenge myself, but it is fun to dream about revenge, don't ya think?

There's a plus side, though. Any time I'm suffering from self esteem issues, I go to LW and read the comments from "Anonymous" and I realize I have so much more going for me than a lot of people.

New author here, I made the mistake of posing my first story in LW, was not aware of the minefield. Holy s**t. There are some really angry disturbed people out there. Good to know they don’t dominate everywhere on Lit. I’ll post elsewhere from now on…..
