I'm REALLY bored, so here's an attempt to start a new thread (gasp!).

I've noticed that we Lit folks seem to be pretty well-traveled, or at least we live in interesting places...well, here's your chance to show off! Feel free to post here anything similar to the following:

1) Recaps of trips you've taken recently
2) Pics of great places you've visited
3) Info about your hometown that visitors would find interesting/unusual
4) Tips on traveling to places that you've been
5) Asking advice about places that you're planning on visiting

Of course, this being Lit, bonus points if you can work something about sex into your posts:devil: . Winner will receive a signed used condom from NBA basketball great Wilt Chamberlain.

Here's a sample entry

I've travelled to Tokyo somewhat frequently on business...here are some tips:

1. A good, very nice and relatively inexpensive (around Y11,000 per night, or less than US$100 per night at current exchange rates) is the Grand Arc Hanzomon (http://www.grandarc.com). They don't speak much English, but you can probably get by. It's centrally located, very modern, and it's hard to beat the price.

2. The major nightlife area that all foreigners (gaijin) focus on is Roppongi. I'd recommend folks check out Shibuya or Shinjuku, which are more the areas where native Tokyo-ites hang out.

3. If you're looking for the Tokyo sex industry, the main drag is Kabuki-cho, a neighborhood not far from Shinjuku station (very close to the Shinjuku Prince Hotel, actually). However, again if you're looking for places where Japanese natives go to pay for sex, Ikebukuro is a much more active area. The only disadvantage is that unless you look Japanese and speak some Japanese, there are few sex trade businesses that will let you in. I can post some details about those which do accept foreigners, if you're interested.
