As ususal Mark Steyn is exactly right. The problem is that when you read his concluding line, you necessarily remember that the American people reelected Obama after he abandoned Amb Stevens and his fellow Americans.

True, there was a cover-up and the leftist media collaborated with the administration in covering this up. But the cover story was so absurd that those -- even laymen -- who failed to see the truth before their eyes, were willfully blind. No one needed the Congressional hearings this week to know that Obama left Stevens and his colleagues to die in Benghazi. What the hearings exposed was the scope of the craven, self-serving depravity of Obama and his followers. But the truth was already clear.
