What is it about "forbidden fruit", that makes you want it that much worse? And why is it that once you've stolen the fruit from the tree, eating it isn't quite as appealing anymore?

I have procured my share of apples, but only took a nibble before deciding to discard it. I kind of wondered how many other people were like this.

Everyone has to come foward on this one and make me feel a little less shallow!

...damn, busted already!

Let's not confine the thread to female's. Lets say "Object's of desire......"

Well, I have wanted things that were forbiden , and found it was more my contrary stubborn nature trying to assert my rights than the object of desire itself.

I don't remeber taking anything other than candy as a child that belonged to anyone else, though.

it's not the fruit you want, there's tons of fruit in the garden. it's the forbidden part that pulls you in.

you start to think, "well, why can't i have the fruit? i mean, fruit shouldn't be off limits, that's just ridiculous. and especially when that fruit is so ripe and delicious. no ineed, i think i'll get me some of that fruit, and show everyone just how 'forbibben' it is." so you try to get the fruit, strategize and persue and sometimes you finally get it. then you take a bite and remember... it's just fruit.

It doesn't have to belong to sombody else...just not to you. The band-geek that gets the cheerleader, or the whore that gets the priest. Just something forbidden that you know you should not have.....

Come all and share your illicit stories with me!!! We will all be naughty together!

(....did I just say that!?)

I have no illicit stories to share,
however, since you mention the garden of eden let's take a look at that from this angle.

Eve really fucked up the situation.
Adam was happy where he was, and God got this brainstorm to send him a partner because he thought he was lonely! (and you want to know why I'm an atheist?)Eve decides she is not happy with what she has and listens to the serpent and takes the apple and goads Adam into eating it as well.
Original sin thy name is woman.

I'm no Christian, however, you really have to think about that.
