OK, i started at the beginning and read the whole thread.
First: AM NOT!!!
Second: Definitely flattered. Thank you.
Third: Yes, there are definitely crushes all over the AH. Among a couple of other sections of the boards here as well.
Fourth: i'm either brave enough or stupid enough to just tell people if i have a crush on them most of the time. Just out of nowhere. i've been like that for years. Even in junior high i would just walk up to somebody in the hall and, right there in front of everybody, tell them that they were one of the hottest things going, then turn around and walk off. Not my preferred method, but it works.
Fifth: It's a good thing to know people have crushes on you. PMs are a good way to do it (hint hint). But it is creepy to have somebody who you've never seen post anywhere drop a PM confessing their love/lust/whatever. Not pretty.
Last: i crush Equus as well. Irresistible.

There are good reasons that I don't have crush lists, unlike admiration ones. I wouldn't want to actually hurt some while scaring others (you never know who might find a crush on them scary).

Well, when I started this thread, it wasn't to list assorted crushes, but to discuss the concept itself. It, of course, devolved into a fun "I like so-n-so" list thing. That was fun and happy, but not to the purpose.
I still find the entire concept of developing emotional reactions/attachments to people based on nothing more than small images and typed words extemporanously entered fascinating. Even as I analyse it, I do it -- just as, I suspect, we sort people we see in crowds into "interesting/not interesting" or whatever other catagories we have in mind. Here, with a different "look" at people, we may "sort" them into catagories we never would if we saw them in a neutral place or met them casually.
Humans are so much fun, sometimes (almost as much fun as horses, I should note).

I had some interesting daydreams about booking an AH cruiseliner where no one was permitted to reveal a name until the last evening of the cruise. It would be a great deal of fun to see who ended up gravitating to whom.
(Any wealthy, wealthy AH'ers out there? I think it's a smashing idea, but am a trifle short on funds.)
