The Flying Imans

When someone says 'It's not the money, it's the principle of the thing', it's the money.

All the attention is just a fringe benefit.

Welcome to the World of the Perpetually Aggrieved and Offended (tm).

(already ducking brickbats).

Peace.

Racial profiling is going on in America? Surely you jest. I'm flabbergasted, dumbfounded and astounded. When will this newfound madness end. There must be a war a war I say. A fight for freedom and democracy....Hell just give them restitution that'll make it all better. I mean black people are totally over that whole slavery thing right?

:D

Why does this not surprise me?
Welcome to America, land of the Lawsuit.

Hmmmm, I wonder if I let my beard grow out, wore old clothes and didn't bathe for a week or so, and bought a first class ticket if they would throw me off the plane?

The six Imams who were hauled off a US Airways flight in Minneapolis awhile back are looking to cash in. Apparently all of their outrage over the supposedly anti-Muslim actions of airport officials will all go away for a price.

If they go to court, I hope the airlines fight the case. From what I have read of the case, the imams acted in a very threatening way. I don't mean they said threatening things in English but they did say threatening things in Arabic, and these things were understood be others in the area, who overheard and reported them. The way they distributed themselves about the airplane, the way they asked for unneeded seat belt extensions and the things they said were all threatening. As such, the airline acted responsibly in ejecting them.

It was not a matter of racial profiling. It was a matter of what they did in the airport and on board the plane that caused their ejection. The airline would have kicked out anybody who had acted that way.

Ah, the voice of reason and clarity.

How sweet the sound!

Good on you, SPA.

Peace.
