The Elf Princess

She smiled as she thought of his home.

"New York sounds like a nice place, you said they accept races. Do they except elves. We according to my Father were not always accepted. According to him we have only emerged from wherever we were in most recent years. He is always vague about time and reasons with me. It is like he doesnt want me to know our history and of course everyone honors his word. Do your parents live in this New York"

Ashton smiled. "New York is very accepting of people. They are a unique people, as the city was once the entry point into the nation it sits in. You see, the country was a country of immigrants to begin with."

Sebeen hung onto Ashton's every word and wished she was a part of his world.

"Then I would be a immigrant there"

She wondered if her Father would be to.

"I really would like to visit your world, Ashon"

Ashton raised an eyebrow, then grinned. "You might like it, except for the fact that the entire city is artificial stone and steel. It was once much smaller, but we have found it to be more effective in regards to our methods of transport."

"Artificial stone and steel, do you not have nature there in New York"

This surprised Sebeen more then anything she could imagine.

"What kind of transportation do you have there"

Ashton smiled. "There's some nature. We have several parks, zoos, and such. But dirt and plants are hard on vehicles, so we have roads made of stone formed from dried liquid and dust."

Sebeen's eyes opened wide in wonderment.

"I would love to see all of these things, Ashton, New York seems a wonder"

She thought of all he had said.

"I imagine our land is not so interesting as your home"

Ashton grinned. "It's more interesting to me, simply because i've seen all there is to see of my people's achievements."

Her eyes opened wide again.

"I would think it would take a life time to see everything there is to see in your world. Here it takes a short time to see it all. Everything is nature and elves. Nothing more nothing less"

Ashton grinned again. "It doesn't take nearly that long. We have aircraft, vessels that travel in the sky, taking us from one continent to another in less than a day."

Sebeen's mind was filled with all the wonders that Ashton was telling her about.

"What are aircraft and vessels"

Her interest in his world grew with each word he had said.

Ashton smiled, then pulled a sketchbook out, and quickly drew an airplane. He also drew airships, and seagoing vessels.

Sebeen placed her head close to Ashton's and watched him draw these wondrous things. Aston handed her the pictures when he finished them. She looked at every detail and was amazed.

"These look like they would be very big, Ashton"

Amazement crossed Sebeen's face once more.

"I really would like to see your world, Ashton, it is very exciting"

She smiled at him.

"you were lucky to born in such a place, no wonder you know so much of life"

She thought for a moment.

"You never told me if your parents live in New York"

Ashton smiled at that. "My parents live in a different part of the state. The state is also called New York, and they live farther north."

Sebeen looked surprised as she gazed into his eyes.

"You mean families do not stay together in your world like they do here"

She thought for a moment.

"Do you not miss them"

Ashton smiled. "Sometimes we get together, but sometimes humans get sick of seeing the same faces all the time." He grinned at this comment.

Sebeen was shocked at his statement.

"How could you ever be sick of seeing someone you love, I cannot imagine that at all. I will miss you when you go and miss your face, Ashton"

Ashton smiled wider at this admission from her. "Well, think of it this way. How long have you known your father?"

Sebeen thought this a silly question and laughed.

"Why since I have been born I have known my Father and the people of our Kingdom and my ladies. I have always known everyone that is part of our kingdom. I know their names and where they live but.....
She thought a moment.
I have never spoke with them as I do with you. I have never touched or been touched by them. I guess I really don't know them, do I. But you I know on many different levels, isn't that strange"

Ashton grinned. "Do you ever get sick of your father? Humans sometimes have a need for new experiences."

She did not have to think about her answer.

"I never got sick of seeing him until I found out he had spied on us during sex then I did not want to see him. And you have given me new experiences and new knowledge of your world. I would like to go to your world Ashton but I also would like to come back home"

Ashton smiled. "Sometimes people do stupid things. That's the reason we move away to keep from doing something else stupid."
