The Elf Princess

Sebean listened to the melody he was playing. She thought it was very beautiful. After awhile she brought her flute to her lips and played with him. She was having a wonderful time. She felt free through music and his music was even more releasing. There eyes met as they played together and she saw a smile on his face which warmed her heart.

She thougt he was even more handsome as he too seemed to be released by his music. Her toe tapped to the tempo of the music.

As the song ended, Ashton could truly say he was enjoying himself. He waited a few minutes to rest his fingers, then saw some of the castle inhabitants listening from the doorway.

Sebeen brought the flute down from her lips and smiled at Ashton. She was truly enjoying herself in his company. She looked to where his eyes had strayed and saw people in the doorways who must have been listening to the beautiful music that they were making. She knew they would keep their distance as not many people approached her. It was not proper to come close to the princess unless she beconed you.

"It looks as if we have an audience. I like the music from you world very much Ashton. Shall we play some more or would you like a brief rest. I could take you to the garden if you would like to go there. The flowers are beautiful this time of year"

Ashton thought for a moment, then smiled. "Well, my fingers do need a bit of a break. Though I think they wouldn't mind if we continued." He grinned at the reference, as they had drawn quite a crowd.

Sebeen looked again and surprisingly the crowd had come a bit closer. She smiled at them and looked at Ashton. Maybe this duet was a very good thing as her people seemed to want to get close to them. This had never happened before and she liked it.

"I bow you your decision Ashton, I could play for ever. You are an accomplished Musician and I would love to hear more of your music and then try to play it with you again"

Ashton thought for a moment, then started to play an old Irish drinking song.

Sebeen listened to the song and it seemed a happy song. She waited until he had played it through and as he started it again she joined in. She noticed the crowd was growing thicker and they were coming closer to them. She liked the idea of entertaining her people. She found herself tapping her toe to the faster tempo of the song. They played it over again and again. She was enjoying this bouncy song.

Ashton started singing to the song, mainly making up nonsense. The song was meant to be sung in a bar by guys drinking to the point of the inability to talk. It was fun playing the music.

Sebeen turned to him as she heard his voice. She didn't know what he was saying but his voice was rich and of a very good tone. She liked this man she realized he had a way about him that made her feel comfortable. The continued to play and her people came even closer to them. She actually felt joy in her heart as she realized they were accepting them both.

Ashton's voice cracked slightly, and he stopped singing to rest it. The one problem with drinking songs is they take a toll on one's voice. He smiled at her, then started playing some techno songs, using a second part of the device as a synthesizer to generate beats.

Sebeen took her flute from her mouth as he went into another kind of music. She was amazed by the background beat to the new music. She looked at him and smiled. She conscentrated on the melody which was faster then she was use to but after he had played it throught one time and started again she joined it. It was a peppy song and she found she liked it too. He certainly knew a lot of different kinds of music. She found herself moving the body part of her body to the beat. It was great fun.

Ashton smiled, watching her dance. The music was definitely not what she was used to, but it would give her an idea of what he was used to. Also, the crowd seemed to like the music.

Her crystal blue eyes showed merriment to him as he smiled at her. She wished she played a stringed instrument so she could smile at him. It was nice to play with someone like this. She felt herself warming to him. She turned to the crowd and they were but an arm stretch away. She was truly happy now. They were moving like her now. They liked this new music too.

He took a short break again, to rest his fingers, then started adjusted the sound and started playing classical music, like from an old piano.

Sebeen brought her fluted down from her mouth as she listened to another type of music. It was very beautiful and felt the depth of Unaccustomed emotions stir within her. This piece was longer then the rest and when he started it all over again she joined him once again with her flute. She closed her eyes drinking in the beauty of this new music. The sound of piano and flute was moving and the crowd could feel the music too. Sebeen loved all his music and was amazed at the beauty in each type. He was an excellent player, one that she would never get enough of.

As the song ended, Ashton opened his eyes and slowly turned off the keyboard. He'd have hand cramps for most of the day, so he figured he'd better take a rest. Besides, he thought, she'd need some rest too.

When the music ended, Sebeen brought her flute down to her lap and opened her eyes. The crowd was up close now and she smiled at them. They began to stamp their feet which was a compliment in the elfin world. Sebeen stood up and took Ashton's hand in hers. She curtsied deeply to her people holding Ashton's hand tightly. The people roared her name as she give them deep respect. She turned to Ashton and curtsied to him in great respect and again the crowd roared. Their Princess was honoring the human.

Ashton bowed low, lifting the princess' hand to his lips and kissing it gently, before lowering it and straightening. The concert had been fun, and it had taken his mind off of the fact that he was hungry again.

The crowd stamped their feet again as Ashton bowed deeply to Sebeen and louder

still when he kissed her hand and held on to it. Sebeen's heart beat faster with an excitement she had never felt before as he took posession of her hand and kissed it after he had bowed. The crowd dispersed and went about their business as Sebeen stepped closer to Ashton.

"Shall we go and have some food now, I am hungry and I think you should be too"

Ashton nodded slowly. "Food would be a good idea. I haven't eaten since this morning." As if to emphasize this, his stomach growled loudly.

They looked at each other and laughed as Ashton's stomach growled. Hand in hand they walked to the castle. They entered the castle as as they were walking, Sebeen smiled to herself remembering the wonderful time they had together. She was hungry too and this was a rare thing. As usually her days were long and boring. As they walked into the dinning room Sebeen smiled at Ashton.

"We are right on time as food is being served"

They walked over to the table and sat down to prepare their food. Ashton let go of her hand reluctantly. They filled their plates smiled at each other and began to eat.

Ashton ate with enthusiasm, looking at her every so often. The food was good, and the company was great, though she looked even more tired than he was. He smiled, and continued eating. He felt a lot better than he had before.

Sebeen was eating better then she had ever before since becoming an adult. She felt it was all because of Ashton. As she ate she stole little glances at him. There was a bond between them now and she was quite content to be with Ashton forever. Soon she had her fill and pushed the plate.

She sat contently watchin Aston eat.

Ashton smiled, and finished eating. He pushed away his plate, and then leaned back in the chair, taking a deep breath. "Much better."

Sebeen smiled as he finished his food. Her eyes traveled his face taking in how handsome he was. Her eyes dropped lower to look at his muscular chest and arms. He was eye pleasing, she found herself in a strange mood, comfortable with him as if she had known him all her life.
