The dreaded commute.

Did you push someone off the platform?

We pinky swearz to never do it again.

Na, a man was "struck by a train at Lidcombe"

"Trains on the Bankstown, West, Inner West, Airport and East Hills, South, North Shore and Blue Mountains Lines are delayed up to 40 minutes in both directions after a person was struck by a train at Lidcombe."

Damn hippies. I never understood those places they live together.

What do they do all day? Sing "kumbaya" and smoke the reefer?

Retired now.

Working for the state I drove 750 miles per week...visiting schools, going to court, going to hospitals, etc. I had an office in Tampa but also worked outta my home. I worked 4 day weeks.

Looks buggy.

Not mosquitos, it's a pretty quick running river. But chiggers, bees, spiders and snakes, good chance. That time in the morning though is pretty quiet...

Here's another...

I don't mind my commute at all. It's close enough to walk when it's warm, and if I leave early enough, the subway's not too crowded. I so prefer it to when I had to drive - I can read, do the crossword, doodle, zone out.

I love public transportation! Maybe too much. I think I put "riding the bus" as one of my hobbies on an application or questionnaire or something once. It's always an adventure! You never know when you'll meet your next crazy

I don't even like riding the bus from the terminal to the rental car lot. Something about the bus brings out the crazy in people.

I think they must give out monthly all-you-can-ride train passes, too.

Honestly, when I lived in a city, public transportation was usually much easier than driving and finding a parking space. And always an adventure!

It's a colourful cross section of humanity. Sometimes people have puppies, sometimes people have giant piles of drugs in their palm that they proceed to snort in front of you using a rolled up five dollar bill. You just never know what you're going to get.

Gotta say, airport terminal shuttles are particularly brutal.

I don't get it.

The only time I miss driving is when I'm grocery shopping. I learned the hard way that shopping for what you can actually manage to carry home for a few blocks is a whole different ballgame. No more watermelons for me.

Mine's about five minutes. A little more if the coal train's going by or someone's talking with another guy in a pickup across from the bank.

100 miles round trip every day. I use the time to learn new songs for my band and to catch up with friends/family on the phone. Thankfully there is minimal traffic on my route. :)

My commute used to be 30 to 40 minutes (depending on the weather), one way.

Then we moved and I'm now a stay at home mom, no daily commute for me.
