The Bitch Thread

Not one principal has contacted me for an interview for this, the final round. Not one.
And since they begin Monday, that's pretty definitive.
This means that I will probably be placed into a school. I will fill out a profile thing and they put me somewhere that needs a teacher. I do not get a say in this, other than listing my preferences.

The thing is, I happen to have wide qualifications. I may not want to, but they could put me in as a computer teacher. They could put me in teaching Grade Eight. They could put me in teaching anything up to high school.

I do not want this.

I WANT TO TEACH KINDERGARTEN.

And I found out that the reason I didn't get any offers in the first round was because principals almost always keep the teachers they have. It was super bad luck that she didn't keep me, and I know whose fault it was, and I respected that person, and I don't anymore, and THIS ALL SUCKS. (Somebody in another school played stupid games.)

You expect to wade through a certain amount of stupid shitty politics to get hired, but three years later I'm getting tired of it all.

My bitch for today. I just spent the last three and half hours at a birthday party with 20 screaming 7 year old girls. I may never recover. If I don't get back online, know that I'm in a psych ward. *yawn*
 
I really wish I could understand this:

I have been here for a couple 3 years now and I admit to having very little experience with the ignore feature. I never used it in the past. But recently I decided that I needed to reduce stress in my life, so I've used the ignore feature on a couple of people whose posts and names I do not want to see. (I've in fact, removed them from my email and my messengers too.)

Why do I continue to see their names as last posts on various threads? The threads started by those individuals is gone from my screen but when they post to someone else's thread, I still see their names.

Grace had a good answer to this regarding post count. And Catalina suggested I PM Manu about it. I guess I'll end up doing that.

But (where's Chicklet now?) does anyone have an answer to this? Is this just how it is? Or am I missing something in my UCP?

you will also see their names throught the threads, just not their posts.

I know that, honey. LOL but it still annoys me to see their names as the last post made on a thread. It's one thing to open a thread and see their names there, but to see their names on the list of threads, is what I'm getting at. :kiss:

You know I can freely admit that at times I am an asshole and a fool. I talk sometimes when I need to keep quite and don't speak when I should. This happens to all of us I suspect. So now on to what I am bitching about.

Today I was talking to a woman I had some private play with, when she reminded me of her B day party and asked if I had invited M'lady to come along. I can say of the things we had talked about this fell to the back burner because I forgot to bring it up. The woman would get a lecture or worse if some of her friends found out that we played together, so I can understand why she wants to keep it on the down low. But I reminded her that the day of play I told M'lady about her offer, I had plans with M'lady and cancelled them to play, so its not like M'lady might not figure out who this woman is. This would be double if she attened the B day party with me, I wouldn't say anything but maybe my actions would still betray her identity. Her response is to delete me from her IM and address book and walk away completly.

Yes I need to learn to hold back more information. Yes I maybe should not have pushed the issue again, but if M'lady is going to find out and she would then why not take control of the how and when. Is it any wonder why I say I am hard on people like some are on their cars. And this means I can't even go to the play party like I wanted to this week as she was my ride. M'lady is out of town for a few days too so I can't discuss this with her either, so I lay it down here on lit.

Move to Atlanta and more specifically Gwinnett County. Gwinnett opened 10 new schools last year and plans to open 6 more this year. The 3-year-old elementary school nearest me is adding a second and third floor!

I'm not sure but I think they are crying for more teachers.

On a more serious note. You do realize that it’s going to be difficult to get much sympathy here. You're there with that view and most of us are stuck at home. No fair!!!!!!
 
Grrrrrr, job hunting sucks! I still haven't found a job as yet (patience I know but I am NOT a patient person) and am now going to have to look for some sort of filler job to pay the bills in the interim until I find a real job. I had hoped to be working by now. This just sucks.
 
I've said it before and I'll say it again,

REPORT CARDS SUCK!

Especially in JK. They're 4 for Chrissake. Does it REALLY matter whether they know all the letters of the alphabet?


My God, if I get something OTHER than JK I'll have to do this up to 3x a year!!!!! :eek: But at least then they do actually learn enough for there to be a point.

Yes I know . I don't bring my 'bitch therapy' to Lit . Tempted sometimes tempted but not my thing. Being obnoxious however ........VERY much my thing.....smiles. Really wasn't expecting sympathy was just teasing......smiles

I"m sorry I haven't been very consoling to anyone lately, but it's been one fucking thing after another up here.
And now it seems I have left the marks sheets I need for most of the report cards at school so I have to decide whether to take a sick day tomorrow, go in at 7 to set up the room, and finish these, or try to do them tomorrow night.
Fuck fuck fuckety fuck fuck.
