Brioche may I ask why you can't tell the parents?? I do hope you can find another position that you actually want to do instead of on that you have to take just so you have a job.

Because the school has decided when to tell the parents and it's in June. I don't have the right to go over the principal's decision. And since the principal is going to evaluate me before I leave, and this is my "probationary" year, I'm not about to fuck with that. Them's the rules. I don't think I'd fuck with it anyway. She's a mighty powerful lady.

I don't know - sometimes I have been down before and then it turned out to be the best possible thing for me, so I'll just have to hope that's the case this time. I'll have another chance in two years when my mentor retires, but it's not the same. Sigh. I was stressed but happy and motivated. Now I'm stressed and depressed. Not to mention IN PAIN. I have to get blood tests and X rays. Currently I'm hoping it's not atypical RA - my grandma had it and I have her body type. Sort of. Except she had high blood pressure and I have low...
this is kind of muscle AND joint pain. Not symmetrical at all.

*great big hugs for brioche* I'm sorry you're having such a crappy time. Wanna cookie?

As for my bitch:

IT IS FUCKING 84 DEGREES HERE.

You folks who live in Arizona and New Mexico are CRAZY.

Fucking weather.

edited to add: Oh, and D (my three year old) burned the shit out of his foot last night. I was making the kids a cup o' noodles and he grabbed it off the counter and spilled it on his foot. I did all the stuff you do for burns (cold water, aloe vera gel, etc), and it didn't seem to be blistering, so I decided to wait till today and just take him to his doctor. This morning it was swollen and blistered, so I made him an appointment. Evidently I should have taken him to the ER. But he's already on antibiotics for an abcess that was on his foot, so they gave me a script for some special burn ointment, and showed me how to wrap it (evidently I was wrapping it too tightly), and told me to try and keep it elevated. They also said that if shows any sign of infection to bring him RIGHT in. So now I get to spend the next ten days trying to keep a hyperactive 3 year old calm. Joy.

I wanna cookie. In fact I want three. And if the stuff they gave you is prescription silver something or other (sulfanamide?), that stuff rocks. I got some of that for my chemical burn (my armpits DO NOT like depilatories = 2nd degree chem burns) and it just whisked them away. It was awesome. I used for burns for ages after that, until the silver started to separate from it. I was working an a bakery at the time. It was more a cream though, so maybe not. I think it was a bit pricey. But then, it was also a "a little dab'll do ya" cream.

*three cookies for brioche*

That sounds right. It's a cream, and when I spilled scalding water on my boobs it's what was given me. But D's insurance covers it.

Sigh. I went back to the shop to pick up my last paycheck yesterday. My former employer forgot to sign it (and wasn't there). Which means that I have to go back today and get my paycheck signed, go to the bank, verify that the check won't bounce, cash it, then deposit it into my account- and I'll finally be done.

I don't have *time* for this today. Today is Wednesday, my busiest day. I've got a gazillion pieces of lingerie to photograph and edit today, the blog to catch up (Wednesday is "preview" day on the blog for auctions), a fabulous piece that needs some handsewn resotration work, and I have to go out of town for 5 days next week. *Stomp stomp whine whine grrrrr grrr grrrr!!!*

Okay. All better.

Oh- and for you, DVS. ;)

frilly stuff

For a moment I thought that said, "But D/s insurance covers it." LOL!

Ok, this isn't necessarily a bitch. Well, maybe a bit of one, but it's more a 'i cannot believe this' type thing. Last Saturday I noticed Iw as getting a rash on my left arm. When it was still there on Monday I called my uncle (a nurse practioner and my pcp) and made an appointment for this morning to see him. Guess what? I'm allergic to the SUN! I mean how in the world can you be allergic to the sun? Isn't that kinda like being allergic to water or air? I'm frankly flabbergasted.

Damn girl you just can't win. I knew a guy was allergic to the alchol in beer and such, but the funny thing is that didn't stop him from drinking more then a few times a month.

So I was getting ready for the munch and actually looked at myself in the mirror, I find some gray hair. I am much to young to start having that problem people like our Gracie are supposed to get them before me. Yes its a real superficial bitch but come on now 30 is much to young to feel this damn old, as Garth once said.

*hugs*

Call them "silver highlights" I do!

I've had them since well before I was 30. I blame my first husband, natch.

Since I had enough at 17 for my hairdresser to comment on it and the last time I let my hair grow out of all colour it was a different shade than it was in high school thanks to premature grey hair, don't expect sympathy.

However - you can either accept it or colour it. If you colour it, it is a pain, and when you stop colouring it, there will be even more of it and you will immediately START colouring it again because you are aghast at how many more there are then when you started. (These are general rules, not everyone does this.) So save yourself the trouble and expense and come to terms with them.

Personally I do highlights, but I doubt that would work for you...

Brioche its just a little bit, I plan to reshave it close again to help stop it. I have done it all when it comes to hair color, dyed it and have had highlights added. Brown hair with blond highlights works really well but now I have to suffer the heat without the aid of air conditioning for most of the time so I have settled with close to the scalp cut.

That's one thing I envy with you men - you can cut off all of your hair.
I've been wanting to do that lately.
My hair is pretty much blonde now.

hey!

Although I do have a few silver hairs. My cousin, Katie, was nearly grey at 18. Grey hair isn't a matter of stress or necessarily age. It's a genetic thing.

Don't get all upset, I just meant if grey hair is from stress then you should have more then I, you have kids and if that isn't a stressor then what is.

FUCK!!!

Son-offfffff-a-mutherfuckin'-bitch!!!

I hate 52 card pick-up especially when its my life.

Just a minor bitch but trying to find a real job after graduating is a total pain in the ass!

Grey Hair :(

In the past few years I have seen a few around my cunt, but I shave them off so no-one knows.

Since Robert died, I have not been dying my hair in the same way (he always dyed it for me, Andante tried to help once..... ) and as the dye grows out there is ALOT of grey.

I mean strand after strand after strand  .

They don't all crinkle like grey hair, but they are still there.

Its just not fair, I am too young to go grey and I don't want to pay to have it dyed professionally but home dyes without help are a fucking nightmare :(

I'm so sorry. Sometimes things are so overwhelming and difficult we can't see any solutions. If we hang in there, we find a way to at least keep going though. I know you are incredibly tough and will do that.

Fury :rose:

I've been very sick today. I've had three hours of the most intense pain I've ever felt and it was only getting stronger. I actually asked my husband to take me to the emergency room which if you know me you'll know is about as likely as well, it's not likely. Just as we got there the horrible pains subsided and we went home. Now I'm hoping the drugs help and I won't throw up anymore and that the worst than labor pain doesn't return. It's a damned good thing I touch type or I couldn't be doing this post at all.

Thanks.

I've been really worried today.

At first it was similar but then it elevated to "Oh shit I'm gonna die, this is gonna tear me apart and I'm too sick to help myself levels."

It felt like Labor without the cool line into your back that helps block the pain and only on one side so worse.

But I did get my running around done and I STILL hope to make the trip tomorrow.
