I am a fan. I love them all.

Stony is my OTP.

I can't ship Natasha and Barton because Hawkeye is mine.

Know who I wish they could put in one of the movies? Jennifer. Jen is probably my all-time favorite female comic book characters. But because she's "She-Hulk" and therefore just Female-Derivative-of-Man-Concept, regardless of how AWESOME she is as a character in her own right... she'd be panned, and that's just stupid.

'cause Jen is fucking awesome.

And hot.

'course, I'd really love to see Carol Danvers, or Jan, or Monica Rambeau.

But no Wanda. Please, God, no more Wanda.

It was way way better than I thought it would be. I didn't expect to like it because I didn't care that much for Thor and since Loki was the villain I thought it might be stupid. I'm glad I was wrong. Good movie.
I would like to go on record as saying I think they should have brought back Eric Bana to do Hulk/Banner. Ruffalo comes off as really gay. I kept thinking "Why did they make Bruce Banner gay?" I like Ruffalo in other movies but not this one.
The scene with Harry Dean Stanton is nice though.

Eric Bana wanted a more money or something.

I'll admit I had my doubts but the build up movies are damn good. I'm again doubtful as they apparently have decided that movie 2 is going to be Thanos and he's seriously bad ass. I mean like if Agent Smith got the One Ring and was the opponent in Rocky III. The step up here is measured in gigawatts.

That's a lot of badass.

Eric Bana? Wow. Well, I guess that movie had to have fans somewhere. :) I thought the Bana film for Hulk was awful. Terrible script, poorly directed... ugh. I LOVED the one with Ed Norton (reboot, in continuity with the new films), but word was that he wanted an awful lot of money and that he was terrible to work with on the set of the Incredible Hulk.

That said, he also allegedly demanded lots of script changes, and I have to say I really liked the finished product.

Anyway. I loved Ruffalo even more than Norton. I don't see where you get a "gay" vibe off of him. I'd say, further, "What's wrong with that?", etc, but ultimately there's never been any gay angle to Bruce in the comics (and, y'know, BETTY), so it would be a bit out of left field. But no, I never really got that they were going for a gay Bruce Banner.

That's a lot of badass.

It really is.

The only major story with Thanos is the Infinity Gauntlet and the Infinity Gauntlet is bullshit. Not regular bullshit any ONE of those powers makes an impressive villain but all six? I'm not gonna pretend that altering history so Cap never becomes Cap or being strong enough to bitch slap Hulk into the sun is a big deal but. . .no wait. BIG FUCKING DEAL.

Been a fan since I was six years old, and my favorite has always been Iron Man. So, it's been a fun ride since 2008. I'm not one to see a movie in the theater more than once, but I'll admit I've seen this one six times. Maybe the most fun I've ever had at the movies.

Thanos is a HUGE step up in power from Loki, even without The Infinity Gauntlet. There won't be any "puny god" scene in the sequel... guaranteed.

^^^^

Wot I said. This is such a leap that I'm frankly frightened that they think they can do this in three years with what I assume will be no more than 5 movies.

I figure Ironman, Hulk and Cap definitely rate movies between now and 2015 and while Hawkeye and Black Widow rate one Thor is more likely to get one. This time you aren't building up your heroes your gonna have to build a villain that's a credible threat and that won't be easy. Honestly I never bought that this was a threat to the Avengers. I think Ironman (and those bots built in IM2 would have done just fine if used)

The movie doesn't have anything to do with it. I didn't say bring back the original Hulk movie and some insert it into The Avengers. I said bring back Eric Bana because he comes off as less gay.
I also didn't say they were trying to make Banner gay, I said that's how he seems.
Don't be so fucking stupid. Holy fucking shit.

I don't get Stony. I mean, I know a lot of people ship it, but I just don't see it. If I had to pick somebody for Tony, it'd be Bruce. And for Steve, honestly, Thor. Because I just want to see like, a sitcom esc situation where they share an apartment. And Thor is amazed at everything on Earth. Like, everything.

Like, he gets a blender and he's like, "BEHOLD STEPHEN, THIS OBJECT I OBTAINED FROM THE STORE OF GROCERS! IT HATH A MIGHTY VORTEX OF BLADES!" and then he just starts blending everything in the fridge, like meat and shit. And then Steve's like, "It looks like it runs on some kind of electricity..."

That's the beauty of the Avengers, you can ship everyone with everyone.

every time uses the phrase shipping god kills a puppy. please stop enabling god's murderous hatred of puppies.

you heartless bastards.

What does that even mean? Is it where people make up stories about characters having sex or something? Why is it called "shipping"?

Next Cap will feature all of the major S.H.I.E.L.D. agent characters, plus Anthony Mackie as The Falcon. Yeah, I highly doubt they're dropping the quality in any of the solo joints towards Avengers 2 with the momentum they've built up.

Wonder if Chris Evans misses playing The Human Torch now? :D

I already own the Iron Man flicks, but it would be sweet if they repackage the entire solo runs along with the Avengers as a big-assed superhero-lovers' combo pack when the DVD edition hits later this year.

You know just what to say to excite me.
Another Captain, another Avengers and then packaging it all in one with the others.
Oh yeah, baby!

It was a fun movie, and quite possibly the best action movie of the summer, but I have to see the new Batman movie. and I love Batman, so my opinion may change.
