The Authors' Hangout Summer Lovin' Contest 2011 Support Thread

You want an answer to your ridiculous question?

I didn't.

There you go.

You might want to head down to the BDSM forum, Freddie. It seems like you get off on being whipped and humiliated, considering you keep coming back for more :D

So, let me get this straight.

Hours before I was told that my story about defending the number of stories submitted to a contest by one writer was rejected by Laurel, you started a poll that evening about the exact same topic, as I wrote about in my story.

Wow.

Either you're psychic or this was a coincidence or you're a lying sack of shit who has some connection that gives you inside information that the rest of us don't have and cannot get, which would explain how you come by all of those statistics that you do in real time, during the contests.

Oh, yeah, Dark, you're so smart that you're stupid. You fucked up by posting that poll thread. You showed your cards and played your hand and now we all know who you are?

Hey, maybe you're Laurel or Scouries for all we know, but your agenda is not the same as all the other naive writers who write here hoping to win a contest.

Fess up, Dark. How did you get all those red H's? How did you get all those blue W's? When you don't have one story that made the most read list, how is that possible?

Forgive me for being so dense but I thought winning contest stories were supposed to be the best stories and the most read stories written.

How come so many readers read my stories, when I've never even won or placed in a contest, and they don't read any of your winning stories. Isn't that kind of ass backwards? That really must piss you off, huh, to be so exposed as the lying sack of shit that you are.

Let me get this straight, Dark.

If so many readers are reading my stories to continually make my stories hit the 30 day, 12 month, and all-time most read list, wouldn't that mean that my stories are good and worthy of winning a contest?

Sorry, for being so dumb, but...

If so many readers ignore your stories and don't read them and your stories never ever make the 30 day, 12 month, and all-time most read story list, how the fuck do your stories win a contest?

I don't get it. It just doesn't make any sense. I don't understand. What's wrong with this picture?

Maybe you can explain why you continually get red H's and have winning stories that no one reads? If I was a betting man, I'd think you were a fraud and a cheater and not who you profess to be.

Is it just me or does something really smell about you and these so called writing contests?

Or maybe, that discussion had been going on for months beforehand? Anybody who's been on the contest threads knows that, and anyone who bothers to look would see it instantly.

Hell, we don't even have any proof that the rant you're talking about was ever submitted, let alone rejected, and wasn't simply typed into the forum as yet another of your ( poorly thought out ) smear tactics.

Not that it matters, because posting about something that's been kicking around for months at the same time you happen to be ranting about it is irrelevant.

Not everyone write incests Freddie.

There are other categories that get good votes but fewer reads.

It's not that hard to understand unless you just like repeating something a hundred times to make it sound like the truth when it's not.

I thought you learned something watching scouires getting his head handed to him time after time.

Maybe not.

Actually, I just giggle every time he yaps about that, too. I've made the most-read toplists and stayed on them up to the 12 month barrier before, and not even in the LW or Incest categories. That's an accomplishment I'm rather tickled by :D

I know that, you know that, but he doesn't or at least he acts like he doesn't. Just more bullshit to discredit the contest and anyone who has ever won one.

Yah, I know. I just try to avoid tooting my own horn in the process of disproving his lies, whenever possible.

Yet another reason he fails so miserably in his attacks, and yet another trait he shares with scouries. He has such a high opinion of himself and his writing that he simply can't believe anyone else doesn't think the same way about themselves.

Ah, you mistake me for Scouries.

I write stories in 30 different categories and not all the stories that have made the most read top lists were incest stories.

I'm glad to see another multi-contest winner here making his presense known.

Tell me, how do you feel about writers winning one contest per year? Wouldn't that be fair to all, instead of say, oh, I don't know one writer having 10 blue H's on his score sheet and winning 10 phony contests?

Actually, as evidence, I took Laurel's advice and posted my rejected story to the forum board. Matter of fact, if you check, Dark, I posted the story to the poll thread that you started trying to limit the number of stories written by a writer on a story board.

Go check and I'll wait here.

How's that working for you?

I know that, you know that, but he doesn't or at least he acts like he doesn't. Just more bullshit to discredit the contest and anyone who has ever won one.

Nope, not true. I'd just love to have a fair chance of winning a contest. I'd love to see a fair contest. I'm tired of seeing the same few people winning contests.

By the way, how many contests have you won (lol)?

Sorry to disappoint you, Dark, but I don't lie.

High opinion of my writing? I don't. I'm just another hack. What I will write is that I'm a better writer now than I was in 2007, 2008, 2009, and 2010. I'm here to learn how to write.

I don't pound my chest in the way that Scouries does. I'm just a writer who loves to write.

Moreover, my proof that I'm a decent writer is that so many readers think my stories are good. My proof is in the numbers.

Tell me Dark, how many hits do you have? What's your average?

Do you think you have more than my 60 million hits? You're welcome to count them. Maybe someone from Literotica will give you the number.

Oh, and don't forget to add the stories that I pulled.

My mother-in-law story that I pulled in 2007 was only out a few weeks and already had 850,000 hits when I pulled it to publish it in an e-book with Erotic Excursions. My sister-in-law story had 650,000 hits, when I pulled that and my Never Too Old for Love So Young had 2.4 million hits when I pulled that story.

By the way, Never Too Old for Love So Young spanned a dozen different categories, BDSM, Mature, Erotic Coupling, Incest, Exhibitionism and Voyeurism, Fetish, Lesbian, Toys and Masturbation, Non-Erotic, and Non-Human and a few others.

 As if you couldn't have copied the rejection ( we assume ) scouries got for the same reason, and then post the same rant you've posted a thousand times, calling it a rejected story.

Again, it doesn't matter anyway when your logical leap would require solid rocket boosters and a NASA ground crew to achieve.

I think we've already covered your lying -- extensively *laugh*

And for someone who doesn't have a high opinion of himself and his writing, you certainly make a point to say how great you are in each and every post you make.

But, keep on dancing. I wouldn't be surprised if every post you make is another click of the Ignore button, and Lit is a little brighter place every time someone does that.

What does a blue H mean? Do you mean a blue W or a red H?

You know, I've got a few minutes to burn while something is soaking in the sink.

I'm getting really annoyed with my "Once Upon A Summer Day."
Last year's "Once Upon a National Nude Day" came out in one sitting late at night. It just flowed and worked. Not much difference between the first draft and what was submitted. I honestly think about an hour passed between when I first sat to start writing and when I was hitting the submit button at Lit. A very rare event for me that I was thrilled with in the end. I really want the same narrative voicing and flow to this new one but so far everything is coming out forced and off. I'm going to try to stop thinking about it so much and relax and picture the ideas I've had for it along with what slave_ suggested and see where that takes me.

My other summer story is progressing but could be a huge beast if I'm not careful.

We'll see. Good luck to everyone else. Very much looking forward to reading what others are coming up with for this.

Lit, I'm revising last year's summer story. I had thought of using the same characters for another tale, but had more summer memories to explore. I need to make sure that there aren't repetitive scenes between the two different stories. I hope it doesn't change the feels of Summer Spirit too much. I know you were a big fan of that one. I think slave's idea is a good one. Just get the ideas out and see where they lead you. They might surprise you! Have missed you!

Let's nip another of your lies in the bud, Freddie.

You're forever claiming that you were attacked from your first post, asked questions that were never answered, but instead met with hate, etc.

Here's reality.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=554651

And here's the thread that's the genesis of your hate campaign. Your first set of lies, conspiracy theories, and unprovoked attacks against anybody and everybody.

http://forum.literotica.com/showthread.php?t=488115&page=5

In a single page, you go from everyday poster to troll, and you never looked back.

That's great reading. I hope everyone does so. :D

Okay, so what insider do I have to fuck to win a contest around here? :D :p

I need to get on this story... My train derailed a little, lol. Mostly it's a time issue. Boo. :(
I am lovin' it though! :)

Almost done with one.

The other will have to wait for quiet time, as it's far more involved and I need the peace to muse it out as I'm writing and the characters throw things at me along the way :p

I finished a story and was going to submit it, when I realized it fit the contest requirements. It is set at the beach in the summer, and could go as a contest entry. I don't expect it to go very far, because it is in Fetish, which is not all that popular, but it costs nothing to enter. I have two other stories I will also enter, one of them suggested by Scouries. :D

I am surprised to see from post 154 above that I am in such good company as a multiple contest winner, but two of my three wins were essays for contest themes that are no longer current - Free Speech and How-To.

Was the third win really a story? Probably not.

What I would like to do is write fiction than wins or places in the themed contests. I'm not sure that I can, but I'll keep trying.

I could win the Authors' Hangout Last Place (tm) Contest easily but I've barred myself (and Jeanne D'Artois) from that. ;)

Nope, not true. I'd just love to have a fair chance of winning a contest. I'd love to see a fair contest. I'm tired of seeing the same few people winning contests.

i won best anal for2009 ... and i won a story comp. too :D

see what i did there?

... on another note, i fucked with my summer lovin' entry ... i knew i shudna, but i did. *sigh*

That question was aimed at me and the answer is 9 counting the year end, monthly, and special contests.

Step back from the Summer Lovin' story and put your hands in your pockets. :caning:

What can I write other than, I rest my case.

What can I write other than, I rest my case.

I was referring to GA fiddling with "his" story and nothing else.

Hmmm, maybe that's not what you are referring to.

I've posted 127 stories here over the last six years. One story has three wins, a contest, year end, and a monthly. It's also on the top all time story list for it's category and in the top 20 most favorited. It also has close to a half million views. Any other questions?

It's also selling on three different sites as an e-book.

So, is it a good story, good enough to win a contest? I think so and so do the readers. It still has a score of 4.78 with over 1500 votes and 88 comments. None of which are mine, by the way.

I've read, enjoyed, and highly voted for many of your stories. I respect you and value your talent as a writer, but can you understand my point of view?

I've written nearly 1,000 stories with more than six million words that have garnered tens of millions of hits, if these contests weren't popularity contests, if these contests aren't unfair, then why haven't I won a contest.

You can't write that I'm not a good writer. I'm as good a writer as anyone here. I work very hard writing, developing, crafting, and editing my stories, yet, when the people who lurk here haven't so much as read one of my stories write that my stories couldn't possibly be any good because I write so many of them, how do you think I feel? How would you feel?

We all share the same passion. I just want a fair chance and since day one, I've never had that. I've had too many of the AH members bashing and down voting my stories and that behavior continues today. Are they jealous that I can write so many stories and they can't? Is it that simple?

Sure, Dark can reach in his bag and take the things that I wrote 4 years ago out of context without ever taking the time to explain the other side of the story, how I was unmercifully attacked first. He can twist and spin whatever he wants, but I'm the dedicated writer here and I never, ever attack anyone who hasn't attacked me first.

I just want to write my stories and to have the same opportunity as everyone else has to win a contest. That's it. That's all.

Yet, when I mind my own business and when Scouries launches his bullshit attacks and Dark starts a poll thread to take to Laurel which would prevent me from writing as many stories as I'd like to submit in a contest, then that's a personal attack against me. I didn't bother the man, but kick me and I'll kick back.

Good luck to you in the contest. I hope you win a dozen more.
