Thank you very much. As I said this is the first time for me. It's not easy but in the last contest a couple of authors did it.

Well not a bad day for A.I.R. – we got entries from Ahabscribe and BarondeSade – LITEROTICA’S #15 and #6 most “FAVORITED” authors.

Now here’s an email I got today on my A.I.R. Contest entry. The weird thing is that I didn’t remember any “anal” scenes in the story. Then I did remember that near the end of the story there was a conversation that suggested that the hero just might take his younger sisters virgin bum in the near future. Some 17,000 words in!

Now if I’d warned the reader beforehand he wouldn’t have read the story but I wouldn’t have received the low vote. I’ll willingly take the vote for the read.

Now I have nothing against this reader for telling me what he’d prefer – I asked for comments and he gave me his. By and large though I prefer giving less info up front (in fact I’d like to be able to enter some of my stories with the category unstated) so I’m not likely to follow this advice in the future.

When a story unexpectedly includes anal I normally vote one and go elsewhere.

When a story warns that anal is included at the top of page 1 I normally avoid the story but don't vote.

I agree that readers have a responsibility to rate the stories they read. HOWEVER, I also think authors have a responsibility to their readers to pre-warn readers of possibly disturbing content.

Here Comes the Literotica Winter Holidays Story Contest!

Winter Holidays encompasses all that the season evokes: the holiday season (Christmas, Hanukkah, New Years, etc.), the weather (snow and cold for North Hemisphere dwellers, sunny and warm for you in the Southern half), and social aspects (gift giving, visiting with family and friends, etc.). You can take these themes in any direction - from romantic/sentimental to comedy to action adventure. Be creative, tell a compelling story, and have fun!

Is it time to tighten up the contest themes? You read the above and what’s excluded? It would be hard to write a story that you couldn’t argue could go through the contest barn doors that have been left so wide open.

The weather? Social aspects? We at ScouriesWorld would much prefer that LITEROTICA be a little more demanding of its authors. Change the theme every year.

Why not Xmas one year, New Years the next, Thanksgiving the third etc., etc.

Unfortunately the last few days havee been pretty slow for the LITEROTICA side of the contest. None of the top 100 except for the boss!
