the "ask crazychemgirl a question" thread

How about tuna or chicken.
Chicken.. well you can’t go wrong with broccoli chicken casserole …

Layer broccoli (that has been partially cooked) and cubed chicken with a mix of:

Sour cream
Cream of chicken soup (or cream of broccoli)
Garlic powder

And on top of the liquid layer put some crispy onions

Usually in a casserole dish you can do 2 to 3 layers … and on top some boxed stuffing mix.

Cool until warm and bubbly … usually 60 minutes

Oh … and season your chicken and broccoli with salt and pepper!!!

I am brave with seasonings, garlic being a huge favorite.

I'll play with it a bit, but you shall always get the credit.

Unless I fuck it up, in which case I'll own it.

Who am I kidding? My cooking is like sex. Even the bad meals are pretty decent. ;)

I made something kinda like the recipe you gave me. There was doctoring. Here's hoping it wasn't Mengele-ing.

I'll let you know.

Thank you again!!!

don't tell me I have asked the stumper question?

She's not just sitting here all her life waiting for you to post, yanno.

BTW, the casserole kicked ass. I'ma give some to Dr. Tyler this weekend.

OK, so here's a question for you.
In sailing, we have tack to the upwind mark. I have new sails and it seems I can't point higher. But higher pointing is always at the cost of lower speed. So, it's and angles (distance) vs speed thing: is it better to go slow but travel less distance or go fast, but travel further.
Obviously on shore, I can do the trig and work the math out. But I can't do that on the fly on a boat - especially by mid day when I'm getting tired.
How do come up with a simple way to tell whether I should foot or point? (@Cindy027 might know something about this).

I have just spent some time in one of the most chaotic places on this earth and I get this to come back to. :)

Isn't that just what sailing in regattas is all about

Unfortunately @lakesailer_mi there is no easy way to do this, other than installing a chartplotter on your sailboat so you can see on the fly what your optimal track is in that moment. I always was under the impression that you foot and then point and never was it an either or situation. This might be a different cultures convention, but then that's not an answer to your question.

Think polars, you should have an idea of what they are for your sailboat and then you will need to formulate in your head what distance vs angle is the optimal on that tack. You could laminate your polars and take them with you, then have a map of the course and interpolate on the fly, but shame you are tired and weary and all the young guys are faster . You probably already do this, so really I am no help to you at all. All I can suggest is for you to visualize the triangles or vectors for different scenarios and then interpolate. When you do it often enough it should become intuitive when racing, I can't say that it will work all the time but it will work most of the time.

So, I think I had it pretty well worked out before, but the new sails seemed to change it....

Conventional wisdom is new sails make boat go faster. Is your sail area larger than before? I think what I stated before doesn't change, if you are going faster at one point of sail then you can be assured going faster for all points of sail except where you can't (in irons and running downwind). So the same rules apply, maybe you need to rework your polars for the new speeds and then apply that to the vectors for mental recall :ROFLMAO:

I mean … sure? … it’s whatever makes YOU feel good and music for boning is a very personal thing.

Just wasn’t around … lol

Yay!
Are you sure?

If she didn't have such great tits, I'd guess she was a ChatGPT bot primed to do our bidding.
How do you know I have great tits? ;)
Truth be told, I'm afraid that she might hurt me.
I am crazy ;)
