Just think about it, do YOU personally respect newbies as much as you would anyone? Granted respect is earned and not given, but hard for a newbie to earn it if you don't give them a chance.

Does this thread come up every other day, or more? Personally, I had no trouble being a newbie. *shrugs* Generally pleasant, patient people don't.

But it's also easier to "warm up" to people if you're a female. Especially on a porn board. Is that not right?

No, I didn't have trouble either. I was pleasantly ignored for my first hundred posts or so. Of course, there's always the ones who think they deserve instantanious accolades and awestruck, rapt attention, but most figure out that it takes people a while to get used to seeing them around.

Romial, think of it as trial by fire. Welcome to the GB. Now chill out a bit and just enjoy it.

9 times out of 10 newbies aren't actually newbies. Quit whinning.

Was it hard for you way back 11,000+ posts ago to warm up to others? What if you did make another name(who knows, maybe you already have) and no one knew, how hard would it be to be a newbie again? Because everyone treats you different.

I have a question what is so hard... you jump in you post on what you like and thats it. end of story.

If you dont like the way people are maybe this is not the right place for you. Dont expect us to change just to make you happy.

Nora, no wonder everyone seems to like you.

I don't think I deserve anything tho. I want to earn the respect given to me, but it is extremely hard if not given the chance or if you are ignored as you said.

Thanks for the welcome, and I'm not mad or anything, just making an observation. :)

No one had a clue I was female until I put my first av up. I think it's all about how you present yourself.

Then keep posting, stay true to form and don't dive off of the deep end.

The "newbie" issue can be resolved in 10 posts if they're smart posts. I never had respect issues as a newbie.

But what is the point of jumping in if you are just ignored? Granted I really haven't done it here, but I have seen it in many many other boards. And I don't expect you to change one bit. I am just trying to open some eyes, that's all. :)

Sit the fuck down
Shut the fuck up
Pay some fucking attention to what the fuck peopel are saying and talk talk talk.

the stop whining about no fucking repsect. You earn it by not beeing an asshole.

When ? I was a newbie I posted and people talked to me like I was there years. you need to do that.

Sorry, I've been inconsiderate for not welcoming you. And if my first post seemed sarcastic, it's just because a lot of "newbies" post threads nearly identical to your own. As long as you're willing to wade through the posts it requires to build a consistent rep for yourself, you'll get along fine.

umm...

Hi, I'm a newbie to. I get no respect.

I'm sure you do. If you didn't then I'm sure you wouldn't put up an AV of yourself(or at least I'm assuming that's you) smiling and having a good time. :)
