Now? Wine. But it's been weird here. (I warned y'all.) I was slated to be hospitalized tonight but when I got there, nobody was around, so I drove home. Fortunately, I'm only 1/4 blind, so the night drive wasn't too hazardous. A roadside deer decided not to jump out in front of me. Whew.

Diabetic nerve pain. It's gotten worse over the last three or four months. I don't walk as much during the winter so... I have pain pills for it but I'm too stubborn at times to take them. Now that the weather is warmer, I'll be out in the yard and in the shop. It'll get better.

My grandmother mixed used coffee grounds into the soil around her rose bushes. Why? I don't remember. It's only been 55 years ago. It was either strengthen the roots or to keep aphids at bay. Then there was the Calcium powder. Again. I don't remember why.

I think you can also mix ground eggshells in with the coffee as a source of calcium, for a slow-release fertilizer. Incidentally, I've heard you can also add the same to your coffee grounds in a drip filter to remove bitterness from coffee, but I've never tried.

Well, as it's early, I think some slow-release fertiliser may be of use, especially on the new plants.

Evening MP.

I need to get in my finished folder and see what's ready to drop on Lit. I haven't because I've been busy with money making projects. The second book in the ten book series is due to drop in the middle of June. It will be interesting to see how sales go in the summer. Book one is still selling even though it was released at Christmas.

Right now I'm taking a break from anything writing related. I got an order for two boats. A father and son in Oklahoma. They want to join a small boat fishing club and someone recommended my boats. Word of mouth. You can't beat it for advertising.

I wish I could write like that.

I've had that thought about a couple of writers, but then I thought, would i still be me if I wrote like them. Would copying them really be me? Nope, I don't think so, so finding ones own style and voice is the only way to go.

I finished the last Hong Kong Milk Tea packet a few hours ago. Good thing we'll hit the Asian super-duper store in a few more hours. Right after we pick up my new glasses. This is, let's see, the third pair in the last year. Eye surgeries cause stuff like that.

The Mand'uke is finally but slowly coming together. It's almost restrung but perversity of inanimate objects curses me. The bottom course just won't sound as hoped... unless I spend another few bucks on yet another string. Strings hate me. I might have stuck with woodwinds if I had these hassles when I started with string axes. [/me grumbles]

I got a call from the hospital this morning. They're sorry nobody was there last night. They'll send me a fifteen buck grocery gift card for my trouble. Gee, thanks.

At a certain point, laurel cuts the voting and freezes things while the final sweep goes through. When exactly that is no one including the trolls know for sure. There is no sneaking anything in.
