Hi U.S. English help needed - again.

In U.K. English we have the adjective phrase "Girl Friday" - a general factotum who will undertake any task for her employer / boss.

Do you use the same phrase in the same way in the U.S.A?

Yes, but......

the but being that it has fallen into disuse, being not politically correct ( "girl").

" Administrative assistant " or " executive assistant" are two popular options.

:) Thanks Sirhugs :D

:D So my readers will know what I am saying when I use the description Girl friday :D :p When was porn politically correct? If you read what happens to my Girl friday political correctness is the last thing on any of the protagonists minds - or the author's :D

Thanks once again

MathGirl,

I appreciate the gender neutral hint, but I do not think for a heavy BDSM story centering around one female that I have to worry. Also it gives the story a title I like Girl Friday.

WSO <GRIN>

However thank you all.
