There would be no Goths today if it weren't for the 80's...I have to go pray to my statue of Siouxsie Sioux now.

At the beginning of the 1980s few homes in America were wired for cable TV. By the end of the 1980s most homes in America had access to cable television. Things like Direct TV are great for recieving lots of different channels, but it was the standardization of cable that got us all used to a perfect picture and no longer needing the struggle with rabbit ear antennas (anyone remember antennas) to get reception.
Some of us still live in the early 80s with a lack of cable. :D
We have an antenna too. :)

Speaking of the 80's...I can't believe they just made a new road where I live called Ronald Regan Drive. I really liked him back then. "Well Nancy, I don't give a damn" teehee

Not getting into politics here with ANYONE! Just my memories :)

That makes me weep.

Mybest friend and I make it a point to have a guaranteed girls night out once a year by going to see Poison.
In seeing them we have gotten to see quite a few other 80's bands and it's awesome!
I wasn't allowed to go to the concerts back in the 80's (being I was born in '76), so it's like getting a second chance :)

80's definately rock!

ah, yes....the days when Aqua Net sent us Christmas Cards and the guys would bother their girlfriends eyeliner and lip gloss...road trips to the Sunset strip, sneaking into the Rainbow Bar & Grill...studio parties with bands who we all swore were gonna make it. Good times.

OH - MY - GOD! KARAOKE BOY IS BACK!

Yes, the guy who lives underneath me has cranked his karaoke machine, and you cannot believe the music he is trying desperately to sing along to this time . . . (very loudly for those who have yet to hear of him). In the following order:

Sheila E: It's a Glamourous Life
Samantha Fox: Naughty Girls need love too
Bananarama: Cruel Summer

I wonder what's next?

Well better than the summer when "I write the songs . . .' made it's repetative appearance for three hours in a row.

lol

If he were a queen, I could accept it, but he looks like a football player gone wrong. Edit to add: and he is none too nice a fella.
