At the beginning of the 1980s few homes in America were wired for cable TV. By the end of the 1980s most homes in America had access to cable television. Things like Direct TV are great for recieving lots of different channels, but it was the standardization of cable that got us all used to a perfect picture and no longer needing the struggle with rabbit ear antennas (anyone remember antennas) to get reception.

Some of us still live in the early 80s with a lack of cable.
We have an antenna too.

Mybest friend and I make it a point to have a guaranteed girls night out once a year by going to see Poison.
In seeing them we have gotten to see quite a few other 80's bands and it's awesome!
I wasn't allowed to go to the concerts back in the 80's (being I was born in '76), so it's like getting a second chance

ah, yes....the days when Aqua Net sent us Christmas Cards and the guys would bother their girlfriends eyeliner and lip gloss...road trips to the Sunset strip, sneaking into the Rainbow Bar & Grill...studio parties with bands who we all swore were gonna make it. Good times.
