Good morning. It looks like grandpa taxi leaves early from now on. The change frees up my afternoons so going to friends house around lunch to play card and board games. That may sound boring to younger folks, however these friends i have had for 50 years.
I love that!

I am still good friends with a number of high school buddies. We’ve seen each other ā€œgrow upā€, get married, raise kids, (some of them) get divorced, tackle wellness issues, etc.

And we STILL try to het together once a month to Play role playing games, shoot the shit, go fishing, have lunch etc.

Wouldn’t trade those bastards for the world. I’m only 56, but I’ve known them for the better part of 40 years.

That sounds so fun... I do way better in small groups. My neighbors partner is going out of town with friends and he and I are having a "date night" and "date saturday".. I can't wait....
That sounds like fun! What are you going to do?

Honestly, when we have friends over for game night that’s about as exciting as my social life gets these days!

And I don’t have to be thinking about grandkids for a while (at least I’d better not, my oldest two are 16 and 19 and both keep telling me how much they hate dealing with kids)!
Cross everything you've got! They have raging hormones! They might not want kids but they probably do want to engage in that activity that can produce kids! šŸ˜…šŸ˜…

Well, 16 is on birth control which I make sure she takes daily, and 19 has yet to figure out which gender he has an interest in, or even if he’s interested in any of them!

You're a good dad! My sister asked my mother to get her on birth control when she was 17. My foolish, controlling mother thought if she said no, that would be the end of that. Sis had a beautiful baby boy when she was 18. šŸ™„

I love him as if he were my own.🄰🄰

Good morning friends. Yesterday was wonderful with my old and trusted friends. We had lots of fun and laughs. We took a walk around their property seeing the red wing black birds, and hearing the woodpeckers and song birds. Spring is arriving!

Have a good day.
Sounds like a lovely day! Spring isn't here yet. It's still pretty cold, in the 30s here. There was hard frost on the rooftops and the grass this morning. It's so cold 🄶 but it looks really beautiful!

Spring is coming for you. The cold returns Sunday with some snow. ā„ļø. But it cycles back into the 50s again a few days later. March is like a box of chocolates- you never know what you are going to getšŸ˜‚

Well, it was her doctor who suggested it to help regulate her periods better, but I figured once she started taking it she’d become sexually active (because she isn’t in the habit of making the best choices in her life as it is).
, and I was right.

Man, I’m working from home today after a brutal a few weeks. Meetings all day, and it looks beautiful out.

But now I had two meetings cancel, and the rest of my afternoon is open. I just went for a short walk outside and it’s 55 and really nice and sunny.

Tomorrow is supposed to be an absolute downpour… šŸ™

Whatever you guys do this weekend, make sure you have fun!!!

This weekends plans include taking our younger kids down to Olympia so they can see some of the work being done for this years Procession of the Species, and then tomorrow my 9 yo has a soccer match that my wife and 8 yo may not want to go to because it will be raining, and then I’ll be slow cooking some ribs for dinner (have to get my dry rub on them tonight).

Sunday will likely start with grocery shopping for the week. Then I get to show the younger kids how I make chicken pot pie so my wife can take pictures for the family year book as well as put the recipe in there.

And then sometime we should be trying to get our axe throwing Groupon used I bought for my wife for Christmas before it expires on the 16th!
