Only reason my mum takes her stick is because it’s white and people know she is almost blind! As to everything else I just accept it, dumb or otherwise!

I was able to convince my nearly-blind husband to use his white cane when I told him it helped ME!

We(ok, the wife) have been complaining for weeks(months?) that we need rain. So three days ago, we had 3-4 inches in minutes, when I looked out back over my deck it was raining sideways. Another almost two inches yesterday. About 15-20 miles from here, they had over 4 inches and a lot of flooding. So hopefully our water table has been somewhat restored.

Indeed! Much as I like thunderstorms, I do NOT like tornadoes! They scare the crap out of me!

Lived in an area where storms are severe and we get tornadoes. Once we had 3 tornadoes spotted in a 24 hour period. My nerves were shot. But we were safe as I was trained how to shelter safely. Like water, I have a healthy respect for tornadoes danger and take precautions.

It’s my turn to sit with my mom in the ER. The surgery was supposed to be yeaterday and I can’t imagine it happening over the weekend.

She’s still in ER. These hospitals in NY are a shit show.

Beautiful weather today. I need to take a leisurely walk today.

Also learned my mother in law has entered hospice. I am feeling for my step children as they have already lost their mom and grandpa within the last 2 years.
