The 50 Plus Cafe, Pub, All-Nite Greasy Spoon and Dive Bar

I couldn't be farther on the tea grid from @Greylag if I tried.
I'm a solid 1A with no milk or sugar. Anytime I did add them, I was still a 2B or 3B. I believe @Greylag said he was a 4C.
A Coffee Grid.jpg

I prefer to put my loose tea in the pot, boil the water with my electric kettle, then pour the water into the pot. I place a strainer over my cup and pour the tea into my cup. If cleanup or tea strength is an issue then I use a tea strainer that goes into the pot so it can be removed once the tea is the desired strength and so clean up is easier, too. 🤷‍♀️
But on-the-go, I use bags. A mix of commercial tea bags and tea bags that I hand fill with loose tea.

Yes our tastes in tea are at either end of the spectrum. It does though sound like your preparation routine is very civilised! I commend you!

Bedtime for me at 10.45 having been up since 05.00. I had a couple of hours on the river tonight in the most amazing light. You would think these pictures were taken in sepia! No filters or manipulation needed!

Good night folks!

I have been a few places where you get a pot. I have a ceramic tea pot I made in high school. It is perfect for 3 or 4 cups from 2 bags. I know people are particular about how they brew there tea. My sister wants the bag dipped in the water and my wife wants it in the cup and pour the hot water on it.
There was a restaurant when I was a teenager in a neighboring village run by 2 English ladies that served a traditional tea..... it was delicious
