Hope she’s feeling better. This has been an eye opening last few months for me. We haven’t even touched on SWMBO’s aging parents, who are starting to have their own problems. Can’t wait for the emergency runs to TX…⛑

For some reason, if the guys find the broom and use it, one of them will think it's theirs and put it on the truck. Or in our case, they'll tooken it from this apartment and use-n-leave it in that one. It just happens.

Shovels too. We had a monsoon rain that washed out streets and flooded basements. I volunteered to help. Brought myself two shovels. Ended up leaving with no shovels when all was said and done. Not complaining too much about it, since some people lost a lot of what they owned.
But I did like those shovels...

When we built the house (with contractors coming in and out) I had a nice new 10' step ladder. Was sure to write my name all over that sucker in black marker. I still have it. If you make it obvious it isn't theirs, there a slightly better chance it will stay.

Same. We got a smattering of rain but not enough.
Certainly not enough up North where the wildfire in part of the Superior National Forest tripled overnight. Continued warm weather, high-ish winds, and rugged terrain is not looking good for additional containment. It's only @ 25% contained and that I think was due to the aircraft able to drop some water and/or retardant on the area. It's very remote and difficult to access.
Might explain some of the poor air quality we've been having.

Our rains have started now. I'm glad as we've been in a drought. Very unusual for us. There are fires in central WA that I hope are reached by the rain in the mountains.

They made a pretty bad version in the 90s w Sly Stalone as the judge.

Then they made a pretty we client version about 5-6 years ago.

Worked at the farm today. We are hosting a tree planting on Friday and we wanted it to look nice.

It sorta rained all afternoon. Just a steady drizzle… but by the time i really noticed, I was soaked. I wanted to do more, but we got enough done.

Then we watched the Indiana /Oregon game. It was a good one. I love big 10 football and my mom was an Indiana alum.
