For some reason, if the guys find the broom and use it, one of them will think it's theirs and put it on the truck. Or in our case, they'll tooken it from this apartment and use-n-leave it in that one. It just happens.

The ones in real time, like the news, were most challenging for him. They often lagged way behind. He could also lip read so the lag confused him at times. He would pause the show and ask me what they were talking about.

Movies were much better for him.

Close captioning isn't all that for live stuff.


They could call it far captioning and be closer . . . .

We have a telescope but my husband never set it up. I have seen some attachments that will hold the phone's lens next to the eyepiece in order to take photos.

It might be cool to try it in the boat. But, since my default energy level is permanently set on "lazy," it probably won't happen. I'm used to using my phone; it has 100X zoom.

She saw the NP this week and got the dope. She sees the MD on two weeks to get . . . whateverthefuck he intends to do. There should be some kind of Magic Splooge they could shoot into the crevices to make it feel more gooder. I have no idea.

I finally turned mine on last week when it was getting into the 40s at night.

I touched the t-stat this morning because a damp chill was in the house. The ones with fur coats care a bit less.

There also be Ford bits still everywhere. Twenty years ago, you could buy a new surplus Ford flatheads block that the French military had left over. Seems they made the things until the 70s. The blocks were kinda spendy.

I remember the first time I saw a flathead. It was sitting in the bed of a pickup and when I walked by and looked at it I knew it was a flathead even though it was the first one I saw!

I priced one when I was on a wee flattie kick and got stuck on Fords for a hot few minutes. I Googled one up: brand new, surplus, in the crate or whatever, and IIRC it was $2500. It's kind of a bastard, part 8AB and part the last one. Nonetheless, they work and use the same rest o' the goodies. I think they were allegedly cast from a bit better grade o' metal, too.

Sorry that the Tigers lost this morning. I made it to the 13th inning…

It was a very up-and-down season and they got halfway through the playoffs and took the Mariners all the way to the brink…

Not a bad year!

It was an up and down year. Advanced stats indicated the first half was a fluke. They eventually regressed to the mean. But I did not expect this much regression. Overall an improvement and progress.

There is hope as it is a young team and the farm system is loaded with talent.

I have been blessed as a young man I watched the 68 World Series, then the 84 World Series. I hoped for more from the Leyland teams but they were fun to watch
