We have an electric percolator. They make the best coffee, IMO.

You have to watch it or time it. In my case if you can f it up I shouldn't use it. I don't remember the last time I perked coffee. I like to steal the first cup out of a drip maker. I put my cup under it and switch to the pot under when the cup is full, quickly.
