Getting ready for another fun filled day at MD Anderson. First time they have given me afternoon appointments instead of starting me early. Say a prayer for me this evening for my drive home. Leaving here a little earlier than I need to, I found an apartment complex I'm interested in so I'm planning to pop in and check them out..

Was a long day yesterday but I slept late this morning and am breakfasting on a cup of cinnamon stick tea and a cookie..

gksser, the drive home was ok.. kept cruise control at 82 and didn't have any trouble. Was fighting the tired the last 30 miles or so but by then home was in sight so kept it together and home safely.

The apartment complex is nice, Jon. Kind of in that fringe area between the edge of the nice but expensive city and the industrial area of a not as high priced city. Gated and 3 stories but it has elevators so I am not limited to the ground floor. Rent is in my budget. Couldn't actually see a unit since they are all occupied, I'm on the waiting list.

Today's goals.. finish decorating the tree, do the dishes, finish the laundry, and the Christmas shopping. I need to get everything together to get packages in the mail next week.

It's been a busy day here today. The dishes are done, presents purchased, laundry half done, and the box of ornaments made it from the bedroom to the living room.. Sometimes it's baby steps. And on the bonus side, I had lunch out with a gift card from work and sorted through two plastic totes of jeans I've accumulated from thrift store finds. Pulled out a few pair of jeans in my new, already getting loose size, and some from the next size down. Split the totes up into the ones I still have goals of getting into and the ones that just will not work now and added all the pieces of clothing from the closet that have been sitting around waiting for me to get listed and hopefully sell. So I have one to keep and one to sell! And both put back into the closet until after the holidays.
