Texas Roll Call v9!

Good evening Texans. Went to the cook off on Friday and it was nice.

Had to drive to Dallas for the weekend and both ways it was storming but once in Dallas the weather was awesome.

Went to the cook off on Thursday and Saturday so between the two of us we had it covered every day.

Oh and I even got to ride in the Rodeo Parade Saturday morning.

Good morning Texas!

I'm hoping to be strong enough to take in the rodeo here next year! Not up to all the walking yet.

It's been a while since I have visited Lit. I hope everyone is doing well.

I have been working on a new story series. I hope to roll out the entire series (eight of more pieces) beginning later this month.

Take care everyone and have a fabulous day. :rose::rose::rose:

Welcome back! :kiss::kiss:

It happens.. Hope all is well for you and yours :rose:

I'm doing fairly well. A sister-in-law died suddenly and very unexpectedly about a month ago (in S.A.). She was in her early 60's.

And a close friend I've known for 40+ years is very ill and likely won't live very long.

Looks like another year of attending more funerals than weddings. :(

I'm so sorry to hear this.
The father of two young ladies I'm proud to claim as mine died this week. He was headed that way a while and they were able to be with him the last month or so building memories as the older would say.

Happy Texas Independence Day!

For those who don't know, it was this day, in 1836 when Texas declared independence from Mexico and created the Republic of Texas. It was a separate nation until February 19, 1846 when it was annexed into the United States.

I believe that Texas is the only state that once was a separate nation.

One of the six flags.. I actually got excused from taking my US history midterm in high school because I was the only one who knew the answer to the teachers question about Texas. Maybe this southern California girl was always destined to end up here.
