That's GREAT to hear. I'm so glad things have settled down for you in your life. I know from experience how that can just swamp you.

Looking forward to anything you'll be able to share in the near future.

Happy New Year to you and yours!

So, what did you get for Christmas Lance? Any good loot?

I'm sorry to hear about your bad news Keiffers. I can't imagine how hard that must have been with your Dad. *Hugs*

Do yourself a favor, get out there and take some photos! You won't ever regret that you did it. Promise. ;)

well ya know, everyone deals with passing differently....being that we knew it was coming made it that much easier, although it's never easy. Atleast he was smart enough to have had everything taken care of beforehand :)

I already have been :D I have the time to do them now, and the weather is decent around here right now, plus I have better equipment now :D my cat is good subject matter to start with, now just to get off my duff and do it LOL

Well... lets see.

Three really nice sweaters and mock t-necks.
Dress slacks to replace the tattered ones I've been wearing to work
An awesome 1000 piece puzzle
New workout watch
$50 gift card for Home Depot
Actually got some pussy too! That's a rarity lately..... so I'm a VERY happy camper! tee hee!

How about you? Anything extra special?

Oh yea... sounds like you cleaned up honey! Gotta love those gift cert's too!

I got an iPod shuffle that I have been coveting for MONTHS. A gorgeous pair of mocha-tinted, knee-high, zip-up, SEXY, yet subtle boots. A wet/dry dustbuster with on-board squeegee. (Don't laugh, I asked for it!) and a 9" Laminator. (Nope, that's not the new name of an exciting high-end vibrator, just a regular ole' laminator.) And lots more stuff... But my kids... DAMNNNN they still have toys they haven't taken out of of the packages. (Grandma loves them!)

I hear ya. I keep telling myself that I'm going to join one of those photo challenge groups so that I'll be inspired (committed) to going out and doing it... It's hard to cart around the 3 year old though... (atleast that's my easiest excuse.) ;)

yeah....no kidding. I can only imagine trying to cart around a 3yr old AND doing pics at the same time LOL I have more pics from years ago when I used to travel a little bit more, but without a job right now travel is not something that is possible, but there are a bunch of little texas towns around that I can probably go find something to shoot - I've been interested in B&W lately, and with a digital camera it is so easy to do...at the same time I've been trying to get into time exposure as well...that's an adventure with a digi cam LOL I'm used to it on an old 35mm with the extension that screwed into the exposure button LOL...I've had my digital rebel so long, but I haven't bothered to really sit down and learn it like I should - one day

Funny that we have the same camera. It took me taking a photography course to really get the inclination to figure out the Rebel. It can do alot more than the casual user is aware of. But, I will say that timed exposures are hard for me. I'm entirely too impatient. B&W will always be a fav of mine!

This is an example of why I love digital photography. I can take a fairly normal picture and make it worth looking at. LOVE THAT.

hmmm that looks interesting - now you've got me perplexed to try and figure out how to do that myself LOL i'm still learning time exposure...with the rebel you have to set a timer and I've yet to figure it out....I just sit there with my finger holding it down for 30 secs LOL

this is an example of why I like to do it - I think it's a pretty pic but that's my opinion LOL I just use it to prove to people that yeah we do get snow in Austin

hi and thank you

Tell the truth - was that taken in 1992? LOL.. We haven't had snow in forever. Its 2 days after Christmas and almost 80 degrees today. Wtf? ;)

That colorization was done in Paintshop Pro. Not that complicated to do, if you know just a little bit about the program. It's fun to play around...

That pic was actually taken 2/14/04 - yeah Valentine's snow LOL kinda funny that's at my place in Round Rock, but 5 miles down the road where my dad was living there was barely a dusting...ironic

I haven't dinked around much in any pic programs - I don't really have any installed on this computer right now...not sure if it'd support it or not LOL if ya want maybe we could swap pics back and forth...just let me know if you're interested and we can swap emails in a PM - doesn't hurt to have someone else take a look at something :p

Well, I have to say that this is pretty awesome! Jenn has been on in a couple of months and you guys still keep bumping her up to the top where she deserves to be!

Wanted to let everyone know that things are going really well around here. First and foremost, Jenn and I are doing excellent. The kids are growing like weeds and Jenn's mom is doing better than she has in quite some time. Jennifer's friend and daughter are finally out of the house and things are somewhat back to normal.

Absapositively the best news I have heard all year ! wonderful ! Fantastic, and terrific.... There arent sufficient words to describe the pleasure I've just had reading that !

BTW: Mrs A & I are back too, although now about 4000 miles closer to Texas !

*HUGS*

Mmm, Jenn, it's good to hear from (and see! ) you again!

Looking forward to more, and hoping things are well.

Great to see you back Jenn, and glad to hear things are sorting themselves out! We all missed you!

 Thank you JW. It feels really good to be chatting with you guys again.

So far though, there are a couple of regulars that are still conspicuously absent... Come out, come out wherever you are..

Wowzers. You guys really know how to make a girl feel special! What an awesome Christmas/New Years gift for me - this awesome Welcome Back you guys are graciously bestowing upon me. Not to mention the fact that I always feel just a wee bit sexier when I sign onto LIT.. ok, maybe more than a wee bit.

I'm going to do that cut/paste thing instead of leaving 42 different posts... lol..

Druce! How in the heck are ya sweetie? Things have improved, yes. ;) In lots of ways... I will say - I'm SO VERY GLAD that Christmas is over. All of that hoopla and running around frantic gets me all frazzled.... I'm always relieved when the pace returns to normal. Are you one of those that thrives on the craziness? Or the nail-biter, hiding in the closet, homebody like me? (only a homebody during the holidays though, when it's 2 hours of traffic everywhere you go.)

(Changed just a tad, of course. Because I can't stand to leave well enough alone.)
