There are worse places... I lived in El Paso for a bit: terrible pollution, very high fuel, electricity, and insurance costs, nasty unemployment, a dangerous lack of water, too darn hot, no greenery, and a cup of yogurt has a better thriving culture than entertainment poor El Paso.

While the desert can be beautiful, and there are some wonderful people there, I just can't see living there again.

PS The bluebonnets are starting to bloom here in Central Texas, but even this tough weed can't live in El Paso.

yeah much worse places - have visited El Paso before but know it is not anywhere i'd want to live and very low on my list of places to go back and visit.

I'll stick with the allergies of central texas :D

Just thought I'd tell you I noticed that you were post #1000. Does that merit some sort of prize and who gives em out??

Perhaps some bluebonnet seeds!

I got a very nice note from you... that has to be worth a ton ;)

Now if I just had enough free time to get my number of posts to a respectible level. Of course every silver lining has a dark cloud close by:

Heading for San Antonio next week to take daughter to State Science Fair... so that is my good news/bad news for today...

Note from you good, Science Fair good for daughter; me playing chauffer, set up guy, and chaperone... instead of getting shrimp at Dick's Last Resort on the Riverwalk... bad news

Where are the Texas girls?????????? I'm in Houston and looking to hook up with a female who wants to have fun, cyber or otherwise.

Back from a very nice (but quick) trip up through Crockett and Palestine, Corsicana (yes, had to stop at the bakery), Waxahachie and Midlothian to a place not even on the map (any map we actually had anyway) called Venus.

It rained a LOT up there.

Heard from the passenger side on this trip:

"I don't know what the big deal is about Palestine. It's not that unseemly a place. I think they should just ship all those Middle Eastern folk over here and let them deal with these hard-core East Texas good ol' boys a bit.... then they'd REALLY have some problems...."

"How do you wax a hatchie? ...and more importantly, what IS a hatchie?"

I'm working on my bid for sainthood. *nods*

I'm in austin! :)

Well Sorry I missed you.
Just got back, had a wonderful weekend away from home.
Ate at Subbs BBQ, Chuys, and Hard Rock Cafe. After dinner at Hard Rock we walked across the street to a Piano bar on the corner. It was great. I did get kissed by this guy that was sitting beside us. After the initial shock wore off, It was actually nice.

Didn't realize they blocked 6th street off. That was kinda a wild place on a saturday night.

Austin...a wonderful place. Used to live there years ago. I am sure it has grown since I left.

We stayed at the Hilton downtown. Visited the wild 6th street crowd. I have visited several times but never lived there. All my visits have been good.
Years, Years ago used to ride our harleys out to lake travis.

Take care
