Texas Directory

From south, south Texas. Family now lives just north of Austin, just west of Georgetown, where I'm actually heading down to in a few days.

My family cemetery is just west of Georgetown. Small world!

Ohhh... I should have been advised you would be up there. I know a GREAT bakery in Palestine! MMMMMMMMm... Elenberger Cookies! And Chip's for breakfast is great!

Actually I've been looking at property in Palestine and Crockett.

So Palestine has good food. (+) My passenger kept rating towns by the number of donut shops. (not a good sign....)

I tell ya, it's all about the bacon at Chip's. Never had a donut in the city, so I can't vouch for them.

But... WHY would you want to buy land up there? You don't have enough of a drawl to live there!

It's pretty. It' NOT the city...and it's cheap to live there.

Did you not see my post about the family cemetery? I'm sixth generation Texan. My daughters are seventh. I think that pretty much gives me carte blanche to live anywhere in the state, don't you? *giggles*
