If you use the quote button to reply to a post, it puts the proper syntax for quoting someone around the post are replying to and see how the quote, italics and bold tags work to format a "standard quote"

If you copy and paste that syntax to surround sections of the post, you can break it down to reply point by point.

If you copy, paste and change the name, you can go down to the bottom of the reply page and cut and paste sections from other posters into it.

You just have to remember to copy both the open quote syntax:

before the quotes will properly format.

Actually there is, but it's almost more trouble than doing it manually:

For each post you want to quote, right-click on the quote button and select "Open in a new window."

You can then copy and paste the pre-formatted quotes from the various windows into the one you're assembling your post in and then close those you don't need to submit a reply from.


Of course, if I was going to that much trouble to compose a single post addressing multiple point, I'd add MS Word to the C&P sequence and use the spelling and grammar checks to ensure that I said what I wanted to.
