One more time again

A tip:

Once you have an attachment hotlinked to your signature, you can edit the post to change the attachment and NOT have to edit your signature line to change the picture.

All you need to do is bookmark the post that has the attachment so you can find it easily and you can change your signature line in one step -- as long as you never screw up and delete the attachment; you can edit an attachment out of a post, or edit a new attachment in it's place, but not edit an attachment into a post that doesn't already have one.

It can't be done with the attachment function and the IMG tags.

The attachment function is set to show a link instead of the image because of the server load generated by showing the images every time a thread is opened.

The vB IMG tags require a URL that ends in an image filetype identifier (Only GIF, JPG, or BMP as far as I can tell.) -- which an attachment's URL doesn't have.

So, because of the choices Manu and the programmer of the vBulletin software have made, attachments will always show as a link -- whether it's the original attachment or an attempt to display the attachment with IMG tags.

Hi i added something to my signature and i was wondering if you can see it.

A few days ago no one could see it i could but know one else but am trying something else.

So if you see the item please let me know.

Thank you.

Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong??

Thanks!

Greetings fellow Milwaukeean! Lit's use of tags only allows brackets [] for formatting. For example:

BOLD

Italic

Underlined

If you have any more questions, feel free to ask.

As far as I can tell, yoou're doing nothing wrong.

In all of your test posts, the bold text was there and so was the underlining.

Using vB tags is actually very simple:

There is a "start switch" and a "stop switch" for each paired tag --i.e. a "B' in square brackets to turn on bold text and a '/B' in square brackets to turn bold text off.

If you think of the tags as ON/OFF switches most of them become intuitive to use.
