What is it you're trying to do?

The syntax you're using is the HTML syntax for posting an image, and that will only work in your signature line.

Also, the URL above returns "cannot find server" when C&P to the address bar, so it wouldn't work even in yuour signature.

To post an image in a post, you need a URL that is valid, NOT hotlink or password prrotected, and is the URL of an image rather than the URL of a script that returns an image. You also need to use the vBulletin IMG tag syntax

The URL above won't work withthe vBulletin IMG tags, because it does not end in JPG, GIF, BMP or other recognized image format file extension.

Thank you Harold!

Last evening I became annoyed with the entire process and gave it up for a time (and instead made delicious rum and cokes with just a bit of lime for my hubby and me - lol).

Then I saw later how turboguy successfully posted after me. I PM'd him right away and he very nicely showed me what I was attempting (the animated pegasus in my sig line - actually ANY kind of pic in my sig line).

I think I understand it now - except I can't get the pic and wording over to the right hand side of the page.

There is obviously some magical spell involved which continues to elude me!!

perhaps more rum and coke?
