A simple link like the one above only requires that you type a valid URL and leave the "Automatically parse URLs: automatically adds [ url] and [ /url] around internet addresses," radio button in the options section of the newreply or newpost form checked.

Following the link above will give you the syntax required for posting a named link using the URL,/URL vB tags.

The same syntax will work in your signature line, but may cause conflicts if you also use HTML code in your signature.
